Hands down the best restaurant in Dubai. The detail and care put into their every dish, in their restaurant's philosophy, and in their staff - all astounding and amazing! ❤️❤️

We sat and spoke with their staff about visiting Japan - they were so sweet and kind. They kept the restaurant authentic, which I assume was the chef's vision. Chef also sources ingredients from his home town in Japan! Amazing amazing!

High quality food and one of its kind in Dubai. I really support this team for opening such a restaurant in Dubai. The people here are used to Japanese-fusion restaurants, which are not bad albeit not representative of Japanese cuisine. This restaurant, however, is not only representative of Japanese cuisine and is being run by a fully Japanese team, it also offers a culinary experience that you might not easily get in Japan as a tourist.

I personally suggest you go with the chef’s recommendations and the daily/weekly specials. This is because the chef will give you what’s in season and what’s fresh and what’s best. Don’t skip the sushi. It can be pricey, but it’s one of the best in Dubai. Also, if you’ve never tried musk melon, try it here, it’s so freaking good. Keep in mind that it’s ridiculously expensive, but so it is in Japan (relatively speaking, of course).

Basically, this restaurant transports you to Japan and back without paying for a ticket, so expect to pay a premium for some Japanese ingredients.

lost for words in a world full of Japanese dishes, punches of flavors, and a wide range of textures from the Umami to the fresh from the soft to the crunchy! Each dish has a beautiful story told by the ingredients.

Yakitori Momo: flavorsome grilled chicken thigh, succulent and super moist and tender.

Goma Dofu Agedashi: soft packed with flavors served on a shallow layer of a well-balanced and complex Japanese broth

Kampachi Sashimi: beautiful cuts of Amberjack imported from Japan, so fresh and extremely tasty this is my best cut of Sashimi

Yaki Gyoza: a festival of happiness resistance from the shell and the softness of the filling creates a great contrast of textures

Yaki Omusubi: simple grilled rice ball, that works as a great side dish but also has the complexity of a main. A Crunchy outer layer that holds a softer layer.

Tofu steak salad: what a combination this is the best tofu plate i ever tasted packed with flavors freshness and texture topped by an absolutely rich sauce.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impression! The food was so amazing!! Portion size is pretty generous especially the sashimi. Staff are very friendly and hospitable. They made us feel welcomed. And make sure to book a table ahead of time if you're planning to visit the restaurant. For their prices it's absolutely 100% worth it. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Visited today, everything that was put on the table was heavenly. To top it off, 10/10 customer service! Loved every dish, ingredients are like no place else absolutely fresh and light. Ended it with dessert and sencha green tea! Couldn’t get any better. Very authentic Japanese feel and taste, made me miss Japan! 10/10 recommended. Get everything on the menu, you can’t go wrong with anything.

Itadaku opened its doors not too long ago, bringing authentic Japanese dining to Dubai. The interiors honor the classic Japanese style of simplicity and calm, with impeccable hospitality that the country is well-known for!

What I tried and loved:
- Homemade Yuzu squash: WOW! ???? recommend!
- the seaweed salad was really refreshing and well seasoned
- Nasu Dengaku: eggplant with sweet yuzu miso - another great ???? rendition in Dubai!
- Kushiyaki Shishito: skewered sweet Japanese peppers, very minimal seasoning so you can taste the flavor of the peppers
- Kushiyaki Satsumaimo: skewered sweet potato with spicy yuzu sauce. Again, very minimal seasoning, which for me, didn’t work great with the sweet potatoes because it came out a bit bland for me

Itadaku truly stood for maintaining the fresh flavors of each ingredients, which comes alive via Chef Masaru’s mantra: “too much flavor, too much sauce, and too much heat hide the potential of the ingredients.” Limited, but enough options for vegetarians / vegans and very reasonably priced! Finally a no-frill Japanese spot in the city ????????

P.S. their dessert menu is outstanding and I need to come back to try their Hokkaido soft serve and purin!

Let me tell you everything about this Japanese authentic restaurant, don’t expect to find any California rolls here!

We ordered many dishes and all of them did not fail to impress our taste palate ????

sashimi is so fresh and silky
Gyoza clean full of flavor veal
The wagyu steak just melts in the mouth like butter
The simple dish of Edamame flavored with yuzu marinate that tasted so good!
Shrimp and okra from cold appetizers surprisingly tasted so good
Must try the Hokkaido soft serve

I’m sure going to visit itadaku again

Absolutely amazing authentic Japanese food, in the midst of so many Japanese restaurants in Dubai Itdako raises as one of the best I ever had and we loved every single dish we ordered.

Diffently returning to try new items on the menu and also shout out to the amazing team working there to match the service with food quality.
