We were ecstatic to be invited to Jaan At The Penthouse, because despite of it opening its doors to the public like 2-3 weeks ago, it had already made waves with people raving about the gastronomy and the ambiance. For us, when we entered we already has SUCH high hopes, and we were glad that nothing about our experience disappointed us.

Entering a place on the rooftop of Sofitel Downtown has to picturesque, sure, but what caught our attention the most was the neon pink sign board! The ambiance is very classy with the place divided into a smoking and non smoking section. There is an open kitchen which I personally love, just to see the cooks in action!

Extra special mention to the amazing staff on the floor. We had, with us a toddler on the table that night and the entire staff and even the chef were courteous enough to accommodate the baby’s food needs. It was something that struck a chord with us and we genuinely really appreciated it!

JAAN brings to the diner a unique concept of using the best produce the world has to offer and infusing these ingredients with exotic herbs, flavorings and spices, keeping in line with India’s gastronomic heritage. We had a set menu, with a choice of cocktails and mocktails to begin with and our very helpful and cheerful guided us with them!

Verdict
Go, run, make your bookings right now! This has to be your new IT spot for all those kittens and parties and celebrations that are up an coming! Dining here is an experience of a kind, and food with literally blow your mind. Calories that need to be eaten because you wont be able to put the fork down. If you are really the sale types, just go for the kickass cocktails and desserts, and it will still be worth it! Oh, and if by chance you are feeling a bit cold at the restaurant, they are kind enough to offer you a pashmina that is hot pink, to soothe that cold! Not, bad at all!

Amazing experience in total. We eat Jain food and the chef took good care of the special prepration for us. Good service. Portion sizes were a bit small but great flavors

Recently i was invited here and i had one of the best experiences ... its a complete package with a brilliant view.. staff, manager, owner they all took good care of us and served here tasty food..

Here we had
signature cocktails - you should try all of them

Cherry wood chicken - when i read the name it sounded interesting and it was delicious ... its smoked chicken with indian spices ... a must try

Turkey bacon wrapped prawns - it is nice soft and tender prawns covered with grilled turkey bacon ..

Dhaba highway restaurant butter chicken - the name says it all .. in india Dhaba food is the tastiest food and to experience the same taste with Fine dining .. it doubles it..

Sizzling chole hommus with amritsari kulcha - when i read the name i expected to have a little bit taste of hommus but you dont get that taste although it tastes really good but i feel when u read hommus u expect hommus ... kulchas were really good .. they were stuffed with potatoes

Shahi tukra - the best i have ever had still date .. the only place i had shahi tukra with kulfi stick and it was really nice - a must try

Drinks - Very Good
Staff - Friendly
Price - Its Fine Dining so it does burn your pocket but not too much
