Most of the food tasted delicious - but we need to address the slack in service. Our dine in experience was going well and it looked like 1 of the servers was trying her best to assist us based on our food preferences and choices. But one of the dishes we ordered wasn't up to the mark - it actually missed the spot by a mile! Now, although it was our first time dining at Kimuraya, we've tried this dish multiple times previously and knew what to expect. The dish being unpleasant is not the issue - but when we told the server we didn't like how it was prepared after just one bite , she was surprised and looked unprepared to handle such situations - I asked her to take it back to the kitchen to show the chef the bits that weren't prepared correctly. She looked at the dish but didn't take it with her .. she then went to the kitchen to speak to someone, came back and told us this is how they prepare it and if they re-do it, it will still be the same - so if we didn't like it we should order something else off the menu - i told her once again i would like her to take the dish back - and she told me to leave it on the side and then proceeded to mumble something - she insisted we order a replacement and continue our meal. At the end of the meal we were charged for the undesirable dish and when i asked why - she mentioned well this is how we do it and we can't take it off if we've added it to the bill. I reminded her that SHE SUGGESTED i order a REPLACEMENT -- then why should we be charged for both dishes -- this was followed by more mumbling and I didn't want to make a scene. My disappointment comes from the dish not even being checked properly, the chef or manager not being notified or stepping in to sort the issue. The situation was managed extremely unprofessionally and the server kept implying we just brush it under the rug and not talk about it and just pay up. She tried to push us to just "enjoy the rest of the meal" and pay no mind to the money we wasted on a ridiculously sad dish that no one from the restaurant was willing to acknowledge. Sad ! They need to be able to handle and uphold their standards better!

Indeed one of the best in town. You get what you pay for. Staff are Friendly and helpful. Place is neat, clean and kid friendly. Taste and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. Have been a regular customer of this resto for almost a year now. Keep up the good work team.. see you soon! Itadakimasu ????

The A5 Wagyu Beef package is outstanding!!!
Highly recommended for people looking for authentic Japanese food experience in the heart of Dubai!

Excellent food and food choices. The food is delicious and fresh. Excellent service from the staff, Especially chef bert who made and prepared our sushi rolls and sashimi, they are well presented and very fresh. Also to Cassy, Kat and Princess, who are very accommodating, friendly and make sure we are okay throughout our dining experience. I will definitely come back.

Overall experience was great. All the food tasted amazing especially the Queen roll and Wagyu Tonpei. The ambience outside was very relaxing. All the staff were amazing, Kudos to Princess for being friendly and accommodating, her recommendations were the best.

Amazing staff (especially Joyce who assisted us when we dine) and fast service, I would say. The trick is to order the items you like in several portions as serving could take a bit of time.

We initially visited this branch because the a4 promotion is still on in this branch but ended up availing their japanese a5 instead because the side dished in their a4 promotion are limited (sashimi, nigiri, wagyu sticks and ramen excluded). And I can say the switch is worth it!

Other than the a5 japanese beef, we really enjoyed their house salad, most especially the hamachi sashimi and carpaccio. Their spicy karaage still tops the list of the best karaage.

It’s best to finish the meal with their black sesame ice cream.

Melts in your mouth unlimited wagyu beef! Best Japanese style BBQ. We really enjoyed eating at Kimuraya. All the staff were very friendly specially Kristel. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely come back again.
