The school was great years ago, unfortunatly when the school opened its secondary (Senior School) something flicked. I do not know what happened but many people say it's to do with the company and it's greed for money rather than the actual good education, I remember one time every term we had a different english teacher. If the teachers are leaving it says a lot that the school docent care about the teachers. I remember that there was a few good teachers especially Mr Peterson. I feel like the students hated the Arabic lessons and the English lessons. I don't recommend going there unless you want to waste your money.

The only complaint I have on this school is their accounting department/team, they are so outdated in their methods, it feels like the accounting department is from the 90s, there are no automated or online payments for monthly payments, you only have the option of cheques, you have to visit them at their preferred timing no consideration for your working time frame (I really don't feel like a customer with them, more like I'm serving them), calling them is a game if patience, they lose or ask for documents or discount cards when you have already provided these documents.

Come on Kings, one of the best schools can't implement an online subscription like payment gateway for monthly payments, that is a disgrace, there are supplement shops who have that payment option in place.

In my opinion this takes 2 stars from my experience with this school due to the hassle I have to face every time I deal with Accounting.

Amazing school - My kids start improving only when they join kings school, even when they were in Repton school, their progress was not good.

At Kings’ Nad Al Sheba, they treat every day as one step along a learning journey designed to inspire children to become effective, enthusiastic, independent and lifelong learners...

We won't be returning...The kings school looks after its shareholders and the venture capitalist owners who only wants to take profit from the school.

The teaching in my opinion is sub-par, we have asked the school to make improvement but there is a fundamental problem with the running of the school. Teacher retention rate is dire, we contacted the teachers who left to go to other schools, they gave us an insight on the running of the school, there is a big contrast between how the teachers want to do their job and help the children vs the priority set by the Education Director who reports to her venture capitalist owners. These are good teachers who understand the impact of education on children moving to a foreign country.

Every year, new teachers are brought in from the UK, newly qualified with limited experience. Not their fault but they then have to start all over again with the children. Introducing new ways of learning only to disregard them and start all over again.

There is limited use of technology, considering the careers of tomorrow will look very different from today, there doesn't seem to be any kind of foresight from this school, consider some child could be drone operators, others using AI to help hospitals diagnose symptoms etc. Children need to be taught to live with technology and understand the tooling aspect of it in every day life, like how their parents grew up with calculators and computers to aid them in their professions.

Which brings me to the response of distant learnings. Kings was the last school to adopt video conferencing for its distant learning, albeit a lot of pressure from parents. I cannot say the reason why, I can only imagine to maintain their cosy margins. Other schools were early adopters, making engaging lessons online, easing the pressure of parents and letting children learn as they would in classrooms with their peers. We saw first hand the benefit from friends and family in other schools who understood its not teaching if its not engaging.

Parents had to pressure Kings into making at least one subject a live session and to this day we are still limited to 30mins a week, which in my opinion is not good enough.

This kind of school is OK for kids where a Child primary language isn't English, but not appropriate for expat family looking to return home. If you are that family, then be prepared for your child to be severely disadvantaged when it comes to sitting their GSCEs or A 'levels.

In conclusion, if your child is not from the UK or you have no intention of going back then you don't have to worry, you can continue to flush your money down the toilet as they wont be prepared for the demands of the UK education or have the grades to enter into university life.

If you are an expat family then be very very worried and I would not recommend this school based on my children's experience.

One of the best among Kings. Especially principal Mr Gale and admin Ms Irena are very cooperative, humble and caring. Had a very good time there. My kids always miss them. Wish them best.
