As a newbie who has always wanted a bonsai, it was an absolute pleasure to spend a good few hours with such an engaging, passionate and educational person like Nick. He expelled many myths and got us completely hooked into this new hobby/lifestyle. We are so pleased with our trees and cant wait to nurture them.

A great place to go to for Bonsai. I was after a Deshojo maple, so visited Nick here at the Bonsai Shop and ended up coming away with a lovely deshojo and 2 other trees. He has a good selection of species, ages and prices. Some trees are field grown on site, others are Japanese and Chinese imports.

I was left to have a look around (which I prefer, gives you time to examine everything well). It's set in a garden, which is nicely kept and with a good view. There is a good selection of sundries and pots, which I didn't need, so forgot to photograph.

Nick is a great guy to deal with, knowledgeable and friendly, he was at hand for any questions I had. His assistant Bob was a nice guy too, he helped me trim my tree down so it would fit in the car haha.

The trees are well kept, some are left to grow as necessary, with shading as needed.
I was very happy with the trees I bought and the overall service.

We visited yesterday and after reading all the reviews and I must say we agree Nick is so welcoming and knowledgeable. He explains and guides you as to which type of bonsai tree is best suited to your home surroundings. Nick is a fountain of knowledge and we as new bonsai tree owners after purchasing a tree from him yesterday took every bit of wisdom we could to make sure our tree survives. Nick does not only provide on the day of purchase help he also offers help after and offers you to return with the tree in the future to see how the tree is doing and give you advise if need.

Fantastic customer service, Nick was very knowledgable and helped us choose 2 bonsai trees. The nursery is great with so much choice available. I would highly recommend.

Nick is highly knowledgeable and was helpful with all our questions. We are very happy with our purchase. Some very impressive bonsai trees on site and we hope to see them in the sun one day

Fantastic experience. New to bonsai and was great to see so many established trees. Full of knowledge and great advice, large selection of sizes. Got myself a 7year old Ficus for a very reasonable price, nice to support local business and reassuring it's been looked after in it's correct environment. Will be back soon enough ????

Bought two bonsai trees here today. The gentleman that helped us choose was very friendly and had an extensive knowledge on all of the bonsais in his collection, and how to care for them. Will definitely be returning and will be recommending to anyone who is looking at “joining the club” as he called it.
