What a wonderful find. Lots of trails for walking 2 car parks at the top and a green for picnics.
The blue bells were everywhere a stunning sight.

There are two car parks, and nice to walk. But direction sings is not enough in the routes.

Quiet, beautiful, rustic walk. Popular with dog walkers, a lovely walk away from the city. There are ZERO facilities, except a small car park & a couple of picnic benches. Bring your own food & drinks! Can get busy weekends.

The Wenallt is an old, if not ancient, forest just a short, steep walk from the suburb of Rhiwbina ("roo-by-nuh"). You can also drive up the steep, narrow, singe-track lane, but if a car is driving down as you are driving up, be prepared for a chaotic, nightmare of negotiating and manoeuvring, and smell of brakes and burning tyre rubber. Though, you can drive from the Travellers' Rest, too. Parking is limited, to two car parks. Again, a headache on a sunny day as all and sundry want to visit the wonderful Wenallt. In the last fortnight of April and first week of May, the carpet of purple bluebells amongst the sunbeamed trees are entrancing.

Really beautiful, green and very peaceful place however it's a shame that the trails are not marked (there's only one map of the area by the parking but there are no colour markings of the trails on the poles - only some arrows that don't describe where exactly are you located) so you don't really know where you're heading towards and if you're driving there be prepared for driving on very steep narrow road where two cars won't fit

Beautiful ancient forest with a carpet of Bluebells in the spring. A lovely area worth exploring.

Deciduous woodland to escape the city, with plenty of paths and the air of magic.

Especially beautiful in the autumn with orange leaves and a variety of fungi. .
