The three stars is more against the whole process and procedure of communication in the health care system, than the surgery itself.
Nowadays, you will find yourself playing middleman to make sure different agencies within the health sector line-up. You'll speak to a secretary before the consultant, or the receptionist before the doctor. There are miscommunications, and dilutions of information and context.
However, you can't mistreat the secretaries or receptionists just because they've been placed in a position of hearing details of your care that they're not trained to resolve themselves.
If you're calm with everyone and explain your reason for calling, generally, things get dealt with appropriately.
As I always say, it's not the Ritz Hotel it's the NHS.

i had a very bad experience with this doctors practice the behaviour of a doctor wrate was nothing short of appalling .
doctors are supposed to help people not cause them stress and anxiety
over 60 years with this practice Ive never had any reason for complaint
until one fateful night to which ive regretted attending the surgery on this Occasion
I changed surgeries to which i should never have needed to do
Not good if a doctor won,t admit to being wrong or listen to see if they got it wrong
this doctor just wont listen or help to put things right Disgraceful.

Place is terrible,only person to listen in the place is the receptionist and that's to get u booked in,had 2 docs with in the last 2 month and lucky been in there room for 2 mins and they just pass it off,this time it's more important than the last and yet seemed like she didn't understand a word I said,rather wait 4 hours at A&E and get checked and atleast they listen and do something instead of saying "give it 3 weeks"

I cannot fault the service I have had from Bennochy Medical Centre from Dr Gordon, District Nurse and the receptionists. The service was absolutely 1st rate. The service from Victoria Hospital and the Dunfermline One Stop Clinic was also 1st Rate with friendly efficient Patient Navigator, Lynne. Thank you all. A well deserved 5 stars.

Can never get through on the phone in the mornings it's always busy or you call to check the times of your appointment and you end up missing your appointment altogether because they can't answer a phone always seems to be on hold even when your in the clinic someone is always on hold. In Edinburgh you can apply for appointments online only 1 clinic I know of why not bring that system here would make it hell of a lot easier to get a appointment that's for sure should have moved to Edinburgh when I had the chance!!

I called 4 times today, each time i was put on hold for over 10 minutes, each time after waiting, someone answered and quickly hung up. Absolutely atrocious. If someone was calling with mental health issues and this was the reception they got, I'd hate to imagine what could happen. Appalling service.

Staff are friendly but the service has dramatically declined. Many mistakes with prescriptions: not being issued with no warning, being told it has gone to your nominated pharmacy but is nowhere to be seen, repeat list out of date and not being updated, issuing wrong quantity no matter how many times you ask them to correct it. I was told my prescription was at my pharmacy yesterday on the phone to the practice yet it isn't there so had to speak to receptionists face to face, no sign of the prescription so I'm having to wait for a reprint to be signed by a doctor for something that isn't my mistake. These numerous problems cause a great deal of stress to me and as a result I lack trust in the practice.

I completed a form on their website asking for the practice manager to telephone me regarding recent errors with my prescriptions but nobody contacted me. I have an extremely busy day and I am having to waste time sitting in the practice while waiting for my reprinted prescription to be signed. The service and standards are worsening with time.
