Unfortunately, recently we've had a couple of poor experiences with the food which has led to me writing this review.
A few weeks ago we had a battered sausage which was very disappointing. The batter was extremely soggy and had an odd flavour. We thought it was a one off.
So tonight we decided to order from Caldicot Fish Bar again. I was extremely disappointed in the food once again. We had a battered cod and battered sausage. Both of which were terrible. The cod batter actually looks uncooked and raw in places. It almost looks as if it's not cooked on a high enough temperature.
I would like to say the prices are reasonable, and the food that isn't battered is generally quite good. The service is not quick but also I've never been waiting ages in there.

Although, the reason for 3 stars the gentleman behind the counter with the beard was incredibly rude. Ignored the lady who served us when she asked for help, and he spent his entire time sat down on his phone. Despite a que of customers forming he just stood up, stared and sat back down again. Shocking really... That guys needs a new job or learn basic customer service skills.
