A beautiful setting for a walk. Climbing to the top of the hill that overlooks the country park is a killer but the view is so worth it! We loved the access to the river for our dog and I can imagine in the spring/summer it must be so beautiful with the flowers and plants being in bloom. It's also great that it's fully wheelchair accessible to the river and some parts of the park.
The only mar on the day was the fact that the gift shop was closed on the one day we chose to go (the weather was glorious so we knew we'd get a good view) so that was a shame.
We didn't go into the coffee shop but we did use the toilets which were clean.
You can pay for your parking by either card or coins. Plenty of parking.

Great spot for a wander with the dog. Plenty of routes to explore and sine fascinating history. Great spot for a post walk snack too.

Absolutely stunning place, plenty of people enjoying it on a sunny Saturday but still felt peaceful. Loads of interesting corners of the park to explore and hang out in. Dog friendly. Heaven for an adventurous toddler! It has a really special feeling and I can't wait to go back.

A beautiful place for a quiet stroll. So picturesque and peaceful. Ideal place for taking our dog for a walk. Afterwards you can enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat. The food looked delicious.

Beautiful place to go for a walk. Nice river to walk along, easy parking but would be busy on a nice day. Took our dog and she loved it. Plenty of sniffs apparently..... Plenty of seats to rest or have a picnic.

Superb walk, you only pay for parking, £3.00 so great value. Be sure to pick up the free guide / map.

Short paths, good for a short walk, not really worth the drive if coming from far away. Not much here except some nice flowers and a nice lake

It is really beautiful! Lovely for a day out. Picnic benches , accessible paths, toilets, Cafe. Parking £3 for all day.
