During our road trip to Scotland we were searching place for hanging out and we came know about this place. Firstly this place remains open till 7:30 pm during summer - but it’s entry is not fairly charged. This is a centuries old broken castle but interesting facts are revealed about the old Scottish royal people. The entire place is having the signboards and information about each part of the castle. The entire Castle is ruined but it’s the perfect picture place and having a scenic beauty.

Fantastic castle ruins to explore and I would have loved more time to sit on the beach by the loch. I was on a tour and felt like I could have enjoyed much more time here.

The bathroom and bus area is a bit of a hike uphill after (a quick walk, but not the kind of walk you want to do twice to use the restroom), and there's a large gift shop.

We drove in a rental from Edinburgh to Inverness, great drive. I recommend getting tickets to the castle in advance, plus you can secure parking at the top. If not you have to park down below and walk up 50 minutes each way. Get food elsewhere, the selection at the castle is ok. Amazing castle, great history, spend the time to read and soak it all in.

Great place to visit. You cannot just turn up in the summer. You should buy tickets at the hub in Drumnadrochit and then pick a time to visit. Great location list of interesting information. Wheelchair accessible and disabled buggies there if needed. Great day out for all the family.

An excellent place to go to and explore our national heritage here in Scotland. Very informative posts around and a short video at the beginning to explain a bit about the history.
Plenty of opportunities to take photographs around and a great place to relax.
The cafe was also a great experience as the local wildlife decided to join my party for lunch ????

Very interesting castle with lost of informational plaques. You can also listen to a audio guide from your phone so bringing headphones is a good idea if you would like this. There is also a small exhibition beside the giftshop as well as a informational movie being shown every 10 or so minutes.

One of Scotland's iconic castles and very well serviced for people of all abilities. Nice 10 minute introductory film explaining the history before you can freely explore the castle. Paths down to the castle are well made and accessible however there are lots of steps if you want to explore around the inside of the castle. Note that it is cheaper if you book online before going! Car parking can be a bit hectic and there can be quite a wait to get in if a bus tour arrives at the same time as you.

Great little castle to explore. GREAT view into loch less. TICKET PRICE 14£~

ATTENTION
if you plan on coming you might want to wait until the cruises which dock there are gone. You can check the times they arrive online but generally if you see a ship drive away from there you have a good time with not so many people!
