Oishi initially opened as a coffee shop, but upgraded to a sushi fusion concept (Japanese with Afro touch) around 8 months ago. This bistro is located in a quiet place, serves one of the most delicious varieties of food that i have tried in Dubai. Though the place is small, it is beautifully decorated with cozy vibes. The staff is friendly and plenty of parking spots are available around the area.

Every item that we were served was not only visually appealing, but also delectable. If you're into fusion food concept, give Oishi a try! You will leave with a smile on your face, full belly, and cravings satiated.
We started off with shiro miso soup, which is a clear soup prepared with sea weed.
Moved on to the 2 variety of salads i.e. Kani salad - crab stick with lettuce, avocado and tempura flakes. Overall this salad was refreshing and the crispy tempura flakes enhanced the flavor. Chuka wakame salad - this salad is prepared with seaweed with harusame (glass noodles) and goma dressing (prepared with sesame seeds) and topped with pomegranate, and sesame seeds
Nigiri/Sashimi/Uramaki: We loved the entire variety of these categories which were salmon nigiri (2 pcs), new style salmon sashimi (6 pcs) which was thinly sliced salmon with ponzu/goma dressing topped with scallion. The 3 varieties of Oishi signature uramaki we requested for were crispy california - 6 pcs (my all time favorite), tiger maki wolf - 6 pcs (fried in tempura batter) and served with peanut mayo dressing, and sunrise salmon roll - 6 pcs (salmon with cream cheese, and avocado topped with spicy tuna) served with sweet sauce.
Though i am a huge fan of crispy california, tiger maki wolf is my new favorite!!!
From the small dishes menu, we ordered rock shrimp tempura (fried shrimp in tempura batter, served on lettuce mix salad tossed in peanut mayo dressing) and calamari (well seasoned in their secret recipe) tossed in red chilies, spring onion, and jalapeno
Main course comprised of prawn yakisoba (noodles tossed in prawns, vegetables, yakisoba sauce seasoned with chili flakes and fresh basil leaves). Wagyu katsu beef is a MUST TRY. Wagyu is coated with bread crumbs served with Japanese mayo
To flush it all down, we ordered passion fruit and mixed berry mojitos.
In short, everything about the restaurant deserves a 5 star rating!!!!
