A very good place to stop over at before going down to the actual expo lake
The view from this point is spectacular
Can also see the expo lake and DWC airport from this point
If you’re lucky depending on season you might get a chance to see the Arabian oryx from this place ,
This place can be quite windy too
And not to mention the planes flying over you! And specifically at sunsets it looks gorgeous!
Should definitely visit

Visited Oryx View Point and sorrounding desert last night with Emirate Nature WWF.

Beautiful sunset and a completely unexpected view of the desert.

We went around and explored what wildlife is out there and took photos and uploaded on INaturalist App

We had absolutely wonderful experiences. If you are Dubai, make sure you visit Al-Qudra Lakes

An awesome place to experience desert camping. We had a gala time with family and friends on an overnight camping trip. The site has nice setup of basic necessities. At night we were able to see Oryx roaming around in the desert and in the morning we woke up with all the birds chirping around. Overall it was fun filled desert camping trip though we didn't have much prio experience.

Nice place for outings.. Please carry your own food with you as we can’t get a water bottle there. If you are planning to visit I would recommend go for night outs.

The Observatory is well built! But the view isn't great at all. Especially in the morning. You'll be predominantly looking at chunk of barren land. Perhaps the authorities plan to develop this area more which would make the view look better

+ Fantastic spot to meditate !
+ wheelchair and buggy accessible !
+ plenty of shaded area !
+ free of charge !
+ very clean and well maintained
+ lots of wild life

- no shaded area in the car park

New viewing platform for bird and oryx spotting on the way to Expo 2020 Lake.

About 10 minutes off-road from the main road, no need for off-road vehicle, standard sedan is fine.

Excellent view of the desert.

Great place during sunset in order to see the city skyline lit up.

Very impressive.
