Amazing little place! Ride the train through the woods with the kids, they will love it! There’s a little cafe and a toilet here. It’s a nice area for a picnic. Kids have great fun here, I would recommend this place, also the parking is free! Bonus!

Very nice site, wonderful for young families. Lovely steam hauled trains, tickets very reasonable, 4 for £5, for typical 10 minute ride. Adults ok as well. Catering van on site, ices, teas, crepes, etc. Free parking on adjacent rugby ground. Next public open day, Sunday 12 September. Private parties also available, usually Saturday, enquire via CambridgeModelEngineeringSociety web.

Lovely place to take your children for a ride in miniature trains! Just bear in mind that the average queue time, to hop on the trains (the ride is around 10 - 15 min), can be around 30-45min, especially if the weather is decent. The price is £2 per ride, but you can buy packs of 6 for £10. Totally recommended.

An amazing place. Not very big but certainly a child friendly area. The layout and scene the people there put on is excellent. There are only a few events every year so it's always going to be busy, but well worth a visit.

Great place for bringing the kids, and having a picnic. If you like steam trains, and riding around the grounds it's for you. Very approachable and helpful staff.

A hidden treasurer of cambridge, absolutely superb. It's all down to the drive and enthusiasm of the model society members to keep it going, we thoroughly enjoy the rides, the atmosphere and the whole experience.
Sincerely hope that they can keep this going forever.
