So pleased to be able to visit here 2 weeks ago! Lovely grounds and a fabulous display of photos in the ballroom. Kitchen gardens were slightly disappointing as not all the ground was planted up which surprised me. A great cafe too!

A two hour drive in the Scottish sunshine there and back. This is our second visit.
I understand the reason the royal family love the place. It's stunning.
Even though you only get to go inside the ballroom at Balmoral there are extensive walking routes. Gardens aplenty and the listening devices you are provided with are informative and useful to fill in on the background.

We've been lucky, the weather has been kind to us. Bit up here it's worth reminding yourself that as Billy Connolly says"There's no such thing as bad weather, just badly dressed people"

Wait 5 minutes, it'll probably change.

An experience I would never have missed - gorgeous castle grounds and stunning scenery all around. The gift shop was very pricey, as you can imagine but the biggest disappointment was that we were only allowed into the ballroom where a photographic display of the Queen and her family awaited us (not one photo showing Diana - even though she spent her honeymoon there)

Oh man. Not my World. Democracy is such a beautiful thing and the monarchy is a ancient system which took money and Land from working and innocent people. Wake up and let the royals work. They do not know what this is since centuries.

Truly amazing! Beautiful country side, castle was fabulous! You only see the grounds and only access the great room. Worth the ride! Decent food on site.

A very beautiful place with so much history. Amazing day out. Free audio guide if you buy tickets in advance. Facts sheet about corgis to fill up for children.

Great to see and imagine what it's like in the summer. April may not be the best time to visit, but still worthwhile. Had hoped to be able to explore more of the inside, rather than just the Ballroom.

So pleased we went. A beautiful location and you have the freedom to walk the grounds for as long as you wish. Great value for money. Lovely café and gift shop.
