Fantastic to view these ancient carvings! You must use the online 3D scans to identify where they are, and even then it will take patience and lots of focus to figure out where they are while lying on stoney ground wriggling around searching. My tip would be to identify main features, like the main crack running along centre, and then figure it out from there. When you do see them though, it is a sudden excitement, as it all suddenly becomes clear what you've been staring at for a half hour over and over lol

An interesting Cairn, not like some of the others in layout. There are some rocks with carving on too. The interior is currently closed off as further carvings have been identified and are being investigated. The site it just off the road, accessible by push or wheelchair - may be difficult if very wet though. A small car park is directly opposite on the other side of the road.

The cairn itself is large. The inside is closed off for study as they recently discovered new carvings inside so can only be viewed from the outside.
Pathway leads to a smaller cairn, a henge and a series of standing stones. Plenty of information boards around the place to tell you about the history.

11 people were buried in this stone aged Cairn over 4,000 years ago! Free parking at Dunchraigaig Cairn car park just on the other side of the road (A816), and completely free to visit. Also close by (5 - 10 minute walk) are Ballymeanoch stone hendge and Baluachraig rock art. Highly recommend for anyone interested in stone age Scotland.

Lots of these cairns in the valley. All very interesting to walk about knowing the ancient history.

Very, very cool we cairn.
You were able to crawl inside this one but now its been closed for a specific reason, for the same reason i give this 5 stars as very recently there was a discovery of 4 or 5 carved deer and stag with intricate antlers which age to around 5000 years. This would make it the oldest known depiction of animals, carved in stone in Scotland.
A significant historic find.
Being closed off right now is understandable but it is still worth the visit.
Some limited parking.
Ideally park at the church and walk through the glen.
