My review is simply based on the Open Evening experience I had when I took my son to view the college. First impressions was absolutely shocked that on a cold winter evening they could not guide the guests with where to park and there were no parking Marshall in the nearby streets to assist. A lot of the guests that arrived were driving like headless chickens to find parking and in the end I had to park far away which consisted of a 15 min walk. All the surrounding streets were permit holders parking only so if you know that guests can't park nearby and you have invited them to the Open Evening then why not give them the guidance with where to park or free up a car park for them? I strongly do feel the staff could have organised this better.

Once I got to the college both staff and students were very welcoming and friendly. They gave us the college prospectus which had majority of the info we were looking for. We had a student helper who showed us around and took us to the classrooms. When we got to the classrooms of the subjects we were interested in there were talks taking place by the staff members on those subjects. Also the students were doing some interesting experiments in the science labs. They were also very happy to answer any questions we had and shared their positive experiences at the college with us.

We also had the college principal who did a talk about the college, the subjects that are available and how the students are performing. This was very useful to know. Overall I found the college to be very friendly and would recommend any high performing student to study further at this college. They are one of the top performing colleges in the northern region and their overall grades are higher than the national average. The train station is approximately 10 mins walk away so very convenient to travel to for the students. Thank you Greenhead for the welcoming experience both parents and the students had on the Open Evening. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately Only did a year at Green head due to Mental health problems, but tutors were very kind, supportive and helpful. I hear a lot of talk saying how the tutors at green head college aren’t very supportive and they kind of leave you to it , you have to work independently most times, but this is far from the truth.. yes you have to work independently at times but if you’re ever in need of help the tutors are there for you, I received substantial support, with essays, deadlines , extensions, time management as well as emotional support which was a big plus. Big shoutout to my English language teacher Julie, wonderful soul, super Down to earth, understanding and supportive, hands down one of the best teachers Ive ever had, so passionate about ‘English language’ it just shines through onto her students! Highly recommend this college if you’re wanting top quality teaching with amazing support!

Congratulations to Greenhead College for achieving their best ever A Level results of 99.4% pass rate. Incredible achievement by staff & pupils alike. Just want to drop Beth Dobbins a quick thanks for that roller coaster of an EPQ, bloody loved it, though she did sound like a bit of a tit at times.

Also shout out to Maggie for being a top supervisor, we all know she couldn't have done it without you mags!
