With all honesty food was below average. Chicken dry , chicken breast burger dry , chicken skewers very hard. And the desert was half raw half over cooked. Nothing special , way overpriced. I heared a lot about it but finished with big disappointment. And guys if you keep this food quality you will not stay in business for long. Staff is super friendly and helpful but the quality of food way under average of other chicken Restaurants.

Do you ever just feel like grabbing some good honest food in a no fuss place that gets it? Well the Roost could be the place for you - that is unless you don’t like perfectly roasted chicken.

They say you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket but at The Roost they do one thing and they do it right - and at the right price. Run by a humble husband and wife team this is a great example of a homegrown restaurant success in Dubai.

There’s really not much left to say - the chicken is soft, succulent and tastes amazing, the sides awesome and the sauces good too. Some people say it’s best roasted chicken in Dubai, it’s hard not to agree.

When you’re sat pondering where to eat from the plethora of eateries in Dubai. Weighing up the pros and cons. Trying to balance between healthy and satisfying. Suitable for the whole family or great quality cooking and ingredients? Roost is one of those places that ticks pretty much all of those boxes. It’s never full but the low key nature means that there is always a seat for us when we need some good honest food.

Their food is akin to a healthier and tastier version of Nandos. Good quality GMO free chicken is delicately seasoned and cooked to juicy perfection. It’s served with some equally healthy, well-cooked and considered sides. From regulars like truffle fries or sweet potato fries and wilted greens or other veggie sides or some healthy grains like brown rice cooked in chicken broth. It’s all presented in quarter, half or full chicken sizes. The unique additions are the home made sauces. There are the usual chilli, garlic or bbq suspects but also some more eclectic flavours like my favourite, banana ketchup.

Banana ketchup is the thing for me that sums this place up. The ketchup is mildly spiced with balanced sweetness and a slight acidity. It’s a regular thing given an unusual but delicious twist and it’s prepared by the team to add that uniqueness and niche aspect that make you visit a restaurant again and again.

Roost does so many things right that you can’t help but be impressed and visit it regularly. They do a roaring business in take away orders but as it’s less than a mile away from us, we are lucky enough to get our fix right from the rotisserie. Try it and you’ll love it.

Visited The Roost today with my wife and instead of ordering their Chicken I preferred to try their burgers so I ordered

1: Moo-S Like Jagger beef burger for myself and
2: In Chicken We Crust burger for my wife.

Chicken burger was good but their beef burger was just okay. Being a burger lover I didn’t find any specialty in their burger secondly if we are paying AED54 for it then they should serve the burger with some fries which was my second disappointment.

Interior and their indoor, outdoor sitting area is nice along with a small kids playing area as well. No washroom or hand wash area. Parking space is very small so in day time you have to park somewhere else as it’s a main road and it’s quite hard to find a parking space here.

Said it once, we'll gladly say it again. If any of y'all are thinking of hatching up plans for the weekend already, you gotta roost it up! It's probably the only place where 'roasting in piece' sounds incredibly satisfying this summer.

Venue Vibes: Very rustic, comfortable and has got a gorgeous layout.

Service: Friendly and truly helpful.

Highlights: Take my broth away, Salad so sub-lime, Moo-s like Jagger, Half roast, cream of the crops with corn on the cob, iced coffee, roost boost, classic mojito, kurtos cones and every one of their desserts.

Personal favorites: The Kurtos cones, the salad and the half roast. Easily the best and the most organic bites we've had in a while.

The roost rotisserie is developed by a local husband and wife team and they offer free range ,hormone and antibiotic free, fresh, locally sourced chicken in good old rotisserie fashion.Along with chicken they are also serving some coolers, quick bites (burgers, sandwiches, salads) and broth (chicken, beef & vegetable)from The Broth Lab.

I loved their rustic interiors and dining area is quite spacious and relaxing.Their outdoor dining area is really good.Loved the vibe. Most importantly, this place is kids friendly with a play area and a healthy kids menu.

We tried the following dishes from their menu:-

A bowl of the good stuff - Chicken broth from the broth lab

Moo-s like jagger is a juicy yummy burger made with black angus burger (free range, hormone free beef )with caramelized onion, cheddar and mayo.Highly recommend this.

The full monty (1 full roasted chicken) is served with 2 crips and 2 sauces. We had chimichurri and clucking hot sauce, along with parmesan truffle fries and classic slaw salad.
Chicken is super soft and cooked to perfection.

Their tag line says Its marinated honestly, cooked intimately and served passionately and i totally agree with it.Food is simple and delicious.

Do not go this surgery unless you wish to have more problems. I found the general practitioner doctor will turn psychologist on you, and the reception staff will turn into doctors. I found myself being struck off because egos that don't like people speaking up. I found my experience there very painful and found the staff extremely rude. Horrible place.

Reception staff lack empathy. Was refused an appointment or prescription when suffering with UTI . Told to ring back next day to see if I could be fitted in. When I said to receptionist, don’t you realise the importance of getting a UTI sorted asap, because by tomorrow I would be at A&E she said I was being abusive!! I subsequently received a letter of warning saying I would be removed from their patient list if this type of behaviour happened again
RECEPTION STAFF NEED PROPER TRAINING IN UNDERSTANDING PEOPLES NEEDS !!!
I could understand if I were a persistent nuisance, but in all the years I have been at this practice I’ve never once complained or been rude , I feel insulted by receiving such a letter . Maybe the practice should update their procedures and record conversations so the patient has some comeback should this type of thing occur.

Very poor customer service.
I have issues every time I ask for my medication.
I ask to early to late or there is always a problem depending on the mood of a receptionist who even on one occasion proceeded to give me medical advice which I am pretty sure she isn't trained or indemnify to do so.

Left my grandfather suffering from terminal cancer in the waiting room for 4 hours as patients which appointments hours after his were seen first.

This was done as an intentional act to bully and abuse him, and was only stopped after the receptionist intervened. This happened a few years ago now when I was a teen, but the anger and injustice is such that I am spurred years later to write this.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I am sickened to the core by such vile treatment of a dying man. My only regret is that I hadn't filed an elder abuse complaint, which I certainly would have done so had it occurred today.

I joined the surgery after moving from London a few weeks back.
I must say the staff are extremely helpful and polite, they even wear matching blouses!
Doctor Lafferty, who I saw on my first appointment today was very thorough and informative, he put my mind at rest over a medical issue that was troubling me.
Pleased I ignored some of the negative reviews and went ahead and registered

Ring all day hoping for a cancellations no luck. Ring from 8am the next day as advised and at 8.04 get through and no appointments that morning and they don't have a surgery that afternoon!! Really at 8.04 am. When I am lucky enough to get an appointment the waiting room is full of older people same faces who go into the room laughing and chatting and spending much more than 10 minutes in with the doctor. Wouldn't use doctor surgery trying to move

Hard to get an appointment but that applys to most doctors these days as growing population, i see Dr Lafferty today who is very thorough explain things so you understand and has a great sense of humour which helps .

Very poor doctors surgery. Do not care about patients. Had to ring 111 for them to talk to doctors to tell them that they had to see me. You can never get an appointment here. Avoid
