Got our chopsticks and mouthwatering lunch all set.

‘Yoshi Onion Beef’: for the love of donburi and its flavours. This bowl of don includes steamed rice as its bottom layer, topped with beef sirloin, roasted onions, and then a good garnishing of togarashi powder, red ginger, pickled daikon and spring onions. Love how different the ingredients are, most of which are new to me. The rice was soaked in all the gravy, the beef was tender, the pickle added that crunch and sourness which was perfect, it was strong yet very mellow and the best part, the rice was sticky yet fluffy. I enjoyed having this eat, the portion sizes are very reasonable and filling, too good and highly recommended.

‘Spicy Chicken Don’: for all the poultry lovers out there, this bowl of don is just for you. Topped on a bed of steamed rice are strips of grilled chicken thigh coated in spicy Teriyake sauce with a light sprinkling of sesame seeds, served along with kimchi(OH YES PLEASE), pickled cucumber and finally garnished with white cabbage and daikon. The coating of the chicken is pure beauty, it had the perfect color, the flavours of the sauce was mild although it says spicy but no worries it wasn’t, the chicken itself was moist and succulent. The kimchi was excellently made, it conveyed the spice factor, providing that much needed kick to a subtle dish. Just mix them all up and enjoy, that’s all you have to do with this scrumptious eat, it’s a must have. Another cluckin’ good delicacy from @umamidxb .

The most dry and old food i get for the day.
They doesn't know how to follow the instructions. It is mentioned how much done we want from the meat but they ruined it.. i use to love the food nut now no..

Went to Deira city center last week and crave for Japanese cuisine & found this place.

Ordered chicken Gyoza, Japanese Croquete , chicken yakitori , Oyako Chicken , Bento Meal.

food was really very tasty and really liked it specially Gyoza & Bento Meal.

Staff was very polite and quick with the service.

For sure will visit again and will try couple of more options.

salmon is nice and their tempuras are soft and crunchy however the the sushi rolls are not good, should be replace or else make it like a california style (avocado or mango atleast) all in all it was a good deal. hope you guys will have a family deal / for couple meal option.

I have tried Umami many times. I usually take gyoza but this time I tried their udon noodles. And the beef on top was chewy and yummy just the way I like it. Definately recommend. Will visit more often.

ramen taste was good, however as a beef lover,, expected more pieces of the beef instead of 2 as compared to the price..

If you’re a foodie looking for Japanese food yet cheap? I highly recommend Umami Restaurant. They have everything!! Salads,Sushi & Sashimi, Donburi, Noodles and Bento. My favorite is the Grilled Salmon Don. The Salmon fish is fresh and sooo tasty and healthy. The rice is flavorful that I can finish the whole bowl. Definitely my comfort food. They have 7 outlets all over Dubai. A must try in Dubai! ^^

Tasty food, served fast, although cashier cheated me said that ice tea is 5dhs extra but instead she charged me 8dhs and 2 ice tea..
