Beautiful walk to pine cone point from the hermitage the views are excellent not too steep little benches every so often and there is a ready made pine cone with seats underneath where you can stop -keeps you sheltered if raining - when arriving at the hermitage if you take the gravel road on the right it takes you to another car park which is free parking but not many spaces - no toilet facilities

Lovely walk, gently uphill rather than steep climbing. Paths well used, making it less muddy but still odd soft areas. Great sounds of the forest as you ascend, but the finale of the view makes it a great walk to finish with shelter too.

Car park isn't very big so need to time it right to get a space. Follow the track round to the right as you come off the A9, car park is signposted. Follow the red route which is well marked, and paved well so not muddy. Some steeper bits than others but easily manageable and a few benches to rest if needed. Worth it for the views from the top, the pinecone has benches and provides some shelter if the weather isn't great. Only 4 stars because when we went (bank holiday) it was quite busy and we felt couldn't stay long at the cone as others were arriving.

Once you reach the hermatige car park. Carry on up the hill on the track to the right to a further carpark approx 500 meters up the hill. Then only about a 90 minute walk there (n back) from the car park to the pinecone. Path suitable for buggies. Rewarded with great views at the end.

Park at The Hermitage Parking. Nice walk and the view is very nice. The path is maintained, slightly uphill, the climb is not difficult. You can go with the children. I recommend stopping by The Hermitage on the way. There is a nice waterfall.

Been to the Hermitage area lots of times so its good to take a different route in the woods and head up to pone cone point. Good paths we'll signposted
Once you get there, you ate treated to some stunning views.
We'll worth the extra walk.
Go past the main car park and go further down the path and you will find another car park

Beautiful forest walk that rewards you with a stunning view from Pine Cone Point...well worth a visit to just sit and gaze down from above
