Absolutely wonderful. Location is superb, rooms are nice and common area is also great. Highlight is the female receptionist (unfortunately don’t know her name) who is giving you great recommendations about things to do and always welcomes you with a smile.
This place is really great value for money!

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. It wasn't a big hostel so it was very quiet and overseeable. The service was really nice and the lady that handed out our food was always very sweet. The views were amazing from almost every room and the rooms were well cleaned and taken care of. Having two pillows was very nice as well. Only our shower was a bit weird regarding the noises it made and the waterpressure either being too low or too high. Other than that, amazing hostel????

The hostel is about 15 minutes walk on the promenade from the train and bus station but it’s an easy walk. Fabulous private room spotless clean had an en-suite shower which could have been warmer. The staff were very helpful and a nice atmosphere in the hostel. The cooking facilities were great and we used them on a few occasions. Would return without a doubt.

First time in a hostel, amazing experience, beautiful building and interior, great views from the common room, friendly and welcoming staff, four of us in a six bed room with ensuite, spotlessly clean,well placed for viewing Oban and surrounding areas, I will be back.

We normally like this hostel very much (dog-friendly and very nice - we've stayed a few times) BUT....last night we arrived, having booked and paid the £102 as advertised online, only to be told there was an £18 supplement to pay for some fangled reason.

Being late and exhausted, we paid up, but am now thinking..hey, wait a minute - how on earth can that be right? How can they just charge random supplements? Basically we're paying as much, if not more, than a hotel (with no breakfast included and you're expected to strip your own beds). Is it even legal to charge more after someone has booked and paid?

Really amazing views and nice hostel close to town centre. Only gripe is length of the beds is too short.

Extremely good as youth hostels go, clean, tidy and well managed. Friendly staff and plentiful, useful amenities.
