Clean car park near an almost finished garden. Almost finished because the owner started it, but could not finance it. Mind that he started it 200 years ago. Well the story is on the sign. We went for a walk to the ruine of wheal Eliza. Just 2 and a half miles (4kilometers) along a mostly flat path and you have beautiful views. It reminds us to our walks in Austria, but this has it’s own characteristics too and we liked it very much!

Great location if you want to surf. Toilets, cafe, surf school, surf hire all on site. Access to beach via a foot path with steps, but can lift buggy's easily as not steep. Parking all day £12 same as other car parks. About a 15min walk into croyde village. We will use again.

Great area to chill and refresh.

Warm food and drinks available through the day. We were lucky enough to get an evening they were serving Sri Lankan curry.

Enchanting view across the beach.

Toilets available here, and showers.

Really nice car park with lots of little cafes, surf hires and decent free toilets to use! Parking prices are pretty decent for its proximity to the beach! First 20 minutes here are also free so if you want a super quick leg stretch at croyde this is really great for that!
Some cool food options also available here as well as picnic benches for sitting and eating purchase only food and drink!

Such a shame. Used to love parking here but now they charge £15 for a day! I purchased 2 x £5 tickets and must have gone over by about 15mins, now i have a £70 fine to pay. Greed ruining things once again!!!

Convenient park, toilets and cafe on site.
Friendly staff at the cafe.

Fairly big car park with well marked out spaces. It was situated at the eastern end of Croyde and a fair walk to the centre 20-30mins. It has toilet facilities at the side of the car park and a guy who rents out surf boards as the beach is a short walk down 20 odd steps.

Nicely situated car park with an excellent, friendly cafe and decent toilets. Surf hire and a bar in a bus add to the friendly vibe at Down End. Prices are what you’d expect so close to Croyde beach but I like that you can pay for less than a whole day if you’re just popping down.
