Better than it's reviews- the bar downstairs is the worst part- but the cooking facilities are top- notch as is the location. The room was fantastic and the showers had the hottest water I've ever had anywhere, Had a great sleep and the ear defenders were a great touch s they know it can be a bit noisy at times. Plus the kitchen was open from 0600, which was essential as our ferry check in was 0615. Would go back again -without doubt. Lacks personal touch but staff were welcoming and helpful.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here for 4 nights! We were pleasantly surprised as the website was a little outdated/understated.
The room was great and looking over the water every morning was bliss!
The breakfast exceeded our expectations and we appreciated having it right there so much.
We would stay again if we ever visit Oban again!

Lovely hotel with clean modern rooms. My room was great with a lovely en suite bathroom and wonderful shower. Kitchen downstairs had honesty box and free tea/coffee including ground coffee and herbal teas (free), orange juice, apple juice, yoghurt, bread,spreads, cereals etc for small cost. Fab for a work stay over.

Location-wise, it is about 10 minutes away from the station or high street. The problem is there is a bar sandwiched by this hostel and another. When we stayed, it was so unfortunate that there was a party at the bar ended until 1:30am. Though earplugs were provided, it was the vibration made us difficult to sleep.
Having said that, the mattress was nice and the bathroom was clean.

Great value for quality accomodation. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Loved the commune kitchen with everything you need. Markie Dans pub/ restaurant was brillint. Vibrant with great food

Really nice room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, immaculate room, staff were nice and pleasant. I liked how they had a kitchen downstairs for you to use with the basics in and an honesty box (fresh milk, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal) nice little touch and the kitchen/diner was a newish kitchen and big. I’d recommend to anyone i’ve stayed at a number of b&b’s over the years and this one was really nice. The pub a few doors down owned by the same people also serves nice food and drink.

Beautiful room with a sweeping view of the harbour. The town centre is a short walk away along the beach front promenade. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Thank you

Clean, comfortable budget accomodation, noisy bar below that plays music Friday and Saturday night till late so if you are a light sleeper looking for a quiet night before an early ferry probably not for you! On the other hand if you like loud music and sleep like you are dead to the world it's exactly your sort of place!
