The food is delicious. If you like truffle, try the soup. Outstanding.

One big issue I need to mention. If you are only going to visit the restaurant (not being a hotel guest) don't expect you can go for a free swim in the sea water.
They will surprise you with an extra charge of AED 150 each without notifying you before.
Sorry but people need to know that!!!!

By far the best restaurant in the Meridian hotel. Restaurant is right on the beach so the vibes are amazing no matter the time of day, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Have tried the tempura veggies, mussels pot, camembert bites, catch of the day, and tenderloin and would easily go back for any of them. For the catch of the day make sure you know exactly how you want your fish and describe in detail how to prepare it - only disappointment we ever had here was when the chef overfried a sultan during one of our stays.

Most delicious sea food ever had on five star hotel.. all the things we ordered were up to expectations .. the salmon, sea bass calamari and fried prawns were yummy yummy ????

Exceptional service! The staff are all so friendly and attentive. Great views of the beach here.
Seafood is great! Flavorful and fresh. They also serve freshly farm reared oysters from Dibba here. It is as fresh as oysters go from here as the oyster farm is merely 20 minutes away.

Everything was absolutely wonderful at the exception of little details. The staff was very nice. The food arrived quickly and was delicious especially the meat. The only downside was the orange juice which wasn't too bad but wasn't great neither. Anyhow everything else was amazingly amazing.

We had a wonderful evening. The food was great. Chami recommended us the jumbo lobster. It was an amazing dish with the perfect sauce. The terracotta prowns also very nice. With the breeze from the sea refreshing. We will come back. If you wish for a special dinner it is the right place.

Gonu is located right next to the beach at the Meridian in Al Aqah.

The decor is quite basic but suits the location. Like a large open beach hut.

We ate 3 times here during our stay.

The fish cakes were delicious! Light and crispy with a lovely flavour. The fish and chips were great but could be improved with better chips. Not fries. My favourite dish was the fillet of Mahi Mahi. My husband had the burger on the last day and said it was one of the worst he has had, which was a shame. It was massive and looked impressive, the quality of the beef seemed low and lacked flavour overall.

The staff are so lovely and friendly. Unusual for the UAE, but had character making jokes and laughing.

I would recommend this restaurant. Just not the burger!
