Well as a international hotel’s buffet style restaurant, it may not be so unique but rather mediocre but the people’s hospitality here is signature. And also the pancake here is exquisite with rich cream and almost flakes which are pretty irresistible. Nice restaurant with robust protection when it comes to Covid-19 countermeasure!

I would say that they have the good facility and the well trained staff but the taste of most of their dishes below standard and really disappointing.

They respected the physical distancing during COVID era so the open buffet was modified in the term of presentation. ( simply you can't collect your food by yourself, you can only order and the staff will serve you from behind protective glass )

Personnally I trust that more effort must be invested here to maintain this business.

We went there for Lunch numerous times during our stay at the Meridien. Excellent value for money and amazing staff. Thanks to the staff for their professionalism, especially Mr Sumedha

It is OK, not great but not bad either. The breakfast buffet has limited options / variety for a supposedly 5-star hotel. The breakfast time it is very busy. But our server David was very good and diligent. Took very good care. The ambiance is just average.

A very interesting exhibition and the kids learnt a great deal about the past history of the jail.. worth a visit ????

Beautiful venue the main room is stunning but we found the staff you have to book with less than hospitable and sightly disorganized

Went to an evening wedding function here last Saturday. It is a stunning building, all stained glass windows, very church like with a high arched roof, many tapestries on the walls and old stonework, truly beautiful place. Apparently the first Guildhall was built on this site in 1387 with many renovations and additions to the building over the following centuries. I really do like historic buildings so had a good look around whilst I was there too. The 'do' was in the biggest room in the building and the acoustics were amazing. The indie rock band 'Punch the Air' put their heart and soul into creating a fab setlist of songs; so much energy and the buffet was amazing, so much tasty, well prepared food, both hot and cold. Finally my dear friend and her lovely husband were able to have the 'evening' part to their original wedding in May, well worth waiting for ❤.

Lovely old building in the centre of Lichfield with a superb ceiling in the main hall. We went for a concert and the accustics were good. There is a small bar at the back of the hall serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

I had read about the guilds in my history text book in India. This place has a small prison and then you can read a little history here. There is a hall above which was used for some sort of an exhibition cum sale when I visited there in 2014.

Didn't feel safe from covid as not much ventilation, because windows were covered up with blinds and couldn't be opened

Beautiful historic building. Definitely worth taking a look if you're in Lichfield.
