Channel delivered incredible service, and was holding it together alone. Other members of staff delivered very poor service. The ambience is nice and music was good and at a good volume, however the food and cocktails were simply appalling.
I do not recommend this place for food, perhaps you would have a good time having just drinks (stay away from cocktails though, I ordered a Pimm’s that came in a water glass without any fruit in it).

Went here for mcm may 2023 on all 3 days for dinner. Generally was not a good time as:

- Friday: Friend ordered just chips but the box was not even half full. Barely the bottom of the box. I saw three other staff laugh and smile before coming back with 1 staff saying it is a lot. Other friend had to complain and really push just to get a fair amount of food. Other friends food tasted bland, especially the burger. Also, when I said I'd pay for 3 wines, the staff at the till said "3?!?". I get its a bit much, but her look and tone was a lot.

- Saturday: Didn't know till days later as I left early. But food was bland, started playing incredibly loud music halfway through the meal and made my friends wait 45 mins for the bill and asked 'I guess you don't want to pay for the service charge'.

- Sunday: Came this day as I thought Friday was a one-time thing and wanted to give a second chance, especially as its close to the con. The same staff member was a bit sharp and whenever I'd say thanks or anything similar, there would be a moment of silence and she would say something perhaps similar to enjoy food but couldn't really hear her. I also asked for a jack daniels and asked what she'd recommend. Her response in her expression was like confused as to why I was asking. Got coke in the end as thats the normal but made the situation awkward. The food was still bland but the pizza was good.

In general, staff was monotone the whole time apart from the one staff member who was kind to me to take my plate. She was the only professional person there. I did like the look of the river being on the outside and look of the resturant too, but once you get served by staff, that's where it goes downhill. On all days, it was barely busy too, so I don't know why I waited long.

Ordered a dinner - a salmon, with two side dishes: vegetables and garlic bread. The bread was very good, the vegetables were fresh and tasted good. The salmon was fried, and lay on a quinoa, spinach and lentil(?) bed - tasted very good. Everything was served in a very aesthetic way. Service was attentive and good. Yet I should add that I was the second only visitor, maybe since I arrived early (18:30ish). Dish prices are pretty high.

While attending an after party at the ICE conference we happened upon this buffet style restaurant that was located in the same room. Half way through eating, having not been greeted at entry we were given a number. At no point did any staff say this food was not part of the after party. Upon exiting we were charged 110£. Over all poor execution by the management and staff of keeping tabs on the patrons and what is included for them and what is not. "Seems a bit cheeky" comment made by hostess was spot on. You know exactly what you are doing.

This review is about a specific weekend, that I will emphasise they were obviously expecting to be busy & therefore had changed how they behaved. I have previously eaten at this restaurant, and the menu was gorgeous, nice up scale dining with good selection & variety. However, when heading to meet friends from a nearby event, we expected the same kind of food & were greeted by a hugely reduced menu (down to pizza or burgers) with zero dessert option. We didn't want to go elsewhere, so we ordered after having been ignored for over 10 minutes (a part of 5 were seated and served straight away & if I hadn't got the waitstaff's attention st that point we may still be waiting). Before our food had even arrived, the waitstaff was back demanding that we pay, and then was obviously disheartened that we wanted to pay seperately. The food was large portions, well cooked & excellently tasty, but given the abject lack of service, I resent that I paid in advance for a 10% service charge, and that I was treated as someone to be processed while mostly having been ignored.

This is supposed to be a restaurant which is a part of a 4 star hotel? I would be more inclined to say 1 star after my families experience. First of all its very expensive with bad quality food and flat beer. The customer service seems to be non existent, the staff are friendly enough but they just seem to dissappear and have to wait a long time for anything. When asking for the bill, we waited nearly 10 minutes before I eventually gave up and went to the bar to pay. I then paid and got a receipt afterwards to see that they had overcharged me for a coke which we didn't order but by this point we were nearly out of the hotel and with a small child we didn't want to go back inside over this. They also charged us 10% service charge which is very excessive considering the bad service. We will definitely not be back to this place and will be encouraging anyone and everyone to also stay away. We seen tables which were empty for a long time and the staff weren't clearing them.

The place itself was nice and there is a roof terrace.
I reserved a table for me and my team the day before our visit so that we could sit on the terrace. When arriving there was nobody to greet. Went to the bar and they acknowledged but then served somebody else. When they eventually went to show us to a table, they told us none were available. Apparently somebody sat at our reserved table but they would not move them.
Food was very average and expensive. Service was bad, forgot our water, no check back. Just another rubbish place surrounded by other rubbish places.

Service was very nice, the pizza was fresh and tasted really good.
Fish and Chips was a huuuge portion, but very delicious anyways!
