Was in two minds what chippy to choose.

So so glad we chose here.

Ate in.

1 fish supper.
1 cod and chips.
2 macaroni and cheese and chips.
3 drinks

Macaroni cheese was stunning. Piled with cheese and cooked brilliantly.

Both fishes were beautiful. Crisp, perfectly battered. No residual oil on plate.

Chips, fresh, crunchy, no scrappy bits.

Lovely efficient fast waiter.

I had the traditional fish and chips with cod and my friend had the sea food chowder. I got a large portion of fish with my chips. It was very good. But my friends seafood chowder was awesome. A definite recommendation. The waitress was friendly and the service was quick. We almost didn’t eat here because the toilet was plugged but before we left the plumbers were on the job. We were glad we stayed.

This is hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! The mushy peas..to die for! Great service, clean place, didn't smell fishy or with a fry smell. Hubby and I stopped in for lunch in November 2022 and we are still talking about it to this day (which is why I'm writing this review so late ????) Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to eat.

Great service. Very good food. We happen to stumble onto it and it was a great find. Food was very good. Appears to be family run with a gentleman who appears to be in his 50’s with his children running. They were very professional. It did become cramped with a large group of tourists. The fried haggis, fish and chips were delicious.

We have had many fish & chips in our trip to Scotland but this one was mind blowing. Really delicious fish & chips with very fresh fish that are flaky, firm and juicy. The cod was the best & we also had the local sole. Price is very reasonable. Certainly this is a good enough reason for coming back to Oban.

We came here before going for the train. We had fish and chips x 2.

The regular size was very generous. Mushy peas were delicious, especially with extra vinegar! The fish was fresh and delicious!

We ate inside in the restaurant section. The menu was simple and easy to understand. Very reasonably priced and caters to most people.

A special mention to our waitress, the young girl. She was fabulous. Very attentive but not over the top.

We will be returning again.

The fish was delicious, the chips, eh, chips. And they charge almost a pound for one tartar sauce! and 50 pence for one packet of ketchup! The first packet should be free.
The customer service was hit and miss. The older guy was great. The young guy not friendly at all, maybe needs a different job.

WE had Fish and chips from here, both take out and eat in.
What a wonderful atmosphere as well as the Fish And Chips.
Freshly caught Fish of different variety on offer; with super high quality.
The Chips, Curry sauce was outstanding. The Food was EXCEPTIONAL.
The Staff were very friendly helpful and so nice.. Service with a smile and very customer focused unlike some places where WE have had fish and chips in England.
And the place was smart, and clean.

Would recommend it to all should they travel to Oban...
