Very nice. Every one was friendly polite staff very nice and dog friendly. I will be going back. I didn't have any food but alot of people eating and all looks great

A true hidden gem - what I like to call a "proper pub". We visited twice during our holiday in Newquay. The welcome from the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was brilliant - all home cooked and proper pie - no puff pastry lids here! The second time I had a burger - lovely and moist and the onion rings were to die for.

bit disappointed as it’s a dog friendly pub but nine of us came to dine with one very well behaved dog,and weren’t allowed to sit in the restaurant.
had to sit in the lounge bar on two separate tables.
we had rang up to book a tables as it was a large party but they wouldn’t accept bookings…first come first served.
food was a bit of a let down as a few ordered the special …bbq ribs. they were chewy and didn’t fall off the bone. the fish and chips came out worst…really disappointing piece of fish. especially as we had dined at the smugglers den inn the night before…the fish and chips there were on a different level.
took us ages to find this pub as the sat nav took us all over the place…never done so many three point turns!

Our second visit to The Tavern and on both occasions we weren't disappointed. Superb food and reasonably priced (it works for us), check out them Halloumi fries (best we have ever had), see you next time!

Went with the kids. Staff were very warming and the food was excellent. My sons had steak, scampi and chicken nuggets. I had lasagne and Couldn't have asked for any better. Perfect all round.

The Tavern Inn is a lovely place to eat and drink a great place to meet with a large car park .
I spent 4 hours in their outside garden area in the sun chatting eating and drinking a lovely place. I will return.

Lovely hidden gem. Lovely service. Had plenty of parking and a kids play area. Plenty of space in the beer garden. Really nice atmosphere
