Walking along the Thames Path and came across this lock. Very friendly lock keeper with a beautifully tended garden. Ice creams are available to buy here. No toilet facilities

Was just passing by on a walk but was lovely to stop and watch the boats come through.

Reminisced about doing the locks with my grandad many years ago

Lock keeper was friendly and willing to talk a brief moment.

Lovely walk with the dog across the fields and off to Dorchester for a snack and a drink at the café
Lovely to stand on the bridge and watch the fast flow river below. But keep hold of your dog or little ones as there's a large spacing between the rails and easy for someone or a dog to fall through

Can't see this as a tourist attraction. Might be fine if using on a boat but walking past it is not one of the most picturesque locks on the Thames. Clifton lock not far away was beautiful with flowers everywhere and a much more cared for feel.

Beautiful river side walk along to an over Days Lock bridge. Part of the Thames Path. Cross this bridge to visit Wittenham Clumps or go into the pretty nearby town of Dorchester for many nice pubs.

Parked at the woodland trust and walked to the lock, water was very high and flowing fast. Walked along the river until we were stopped by a flooded field. Still a nice afternoon walk.
