Inexpensive diesel. Polite staff. Avoid lunch time as there are a million kids hanging about.

Saved our dapper Dutch Sailing vessel a day trying to get through the Caledonian To get bunker fuel diesel has been absolutely terrible here.

While my wife and I were on vacation in Scotland recently we had a flat tire in Oban around 4:45 pm on Holy Saturday and pulled into the Oban Filling Station on Soroba Road. Because our rental car did not come with a spare tire nor a jack, the staff at the Filling Station helped us call the Europcar 24 hour emergency number only to be told that they would not be able to send someone to repair our tire until the Monday after Easter. Upon hearing this, the staff at the Filling Station started calling all of the tire repair shops in Oban only to be informed that we needed to wait until Monday morning to get our tire repaired in that every shop was closing at 5:00 pm. One of the staff, then personally walked me to the Halfords Tire repair shop several blocks from the Filling Station wherein the Manager immediately dispatched one of his employees to our vehicle to retrieve our flat fat tire, repair it in their shop, and then return the tire to us and remount it without even charging us for the tire repair. Kudos to the Oban Filling Station and to Halfords and their management and staff for taking care of people in need. I highly recommend both of these establishments.

They sold Orange Twirls ???? as well as diesel that was 1p a litre cheaper than elsewhere. A must visit after driving to Oban and returning on a ferry.

All because you’s where disorganised in the food section not acceptable 19 minutes cook for bacon what a joke!
