The VTS are very cordial on the VHF and polite and courteous to this first time visitor. I arrived cold and tired from a passage to Harwich with nowhere booked to berth and they gave me a free pontoon berth and later advice on restaurants and the passcode to the pontoon gate. They also called me back with local tourist advice. Above and beyond. Sarah and Abigail well done indeed and to your colleagues in operations!

In Pilot Boat entertainment is good but refreshment facilities and range could be improved.

Great for watching them load up the big container ships there is a beach and a nice walkway promenade.

Nice town, enjoyed the walk. We were too early for the ferry. Was good to spend time in the town rather than at ferry terminal.

Amazing authority who were created by an act of parliament in the 1800s to protect the haven area. They have done amazing work to the ha'penny pier and the surrounding areas.
