Liked: Really great campsite with everything you could need for a good stay. Nice clean facilities, convenient location near to Glencoe hiking destinations, friendly staff.

Disliked: There is not much of a view from the campsite. Also, and this is no comment on the campsite itself, but the midges were totally unbearable - we have not camped in the highlands at this time of year before, and perhaps it would be helpful if the campsite could send out information when you book that warns you to prepare for the midges.

I ended up staying for two nights (tenting) because it was affordable and the amenities were good. There is a good grocery store a few minutes away on foot. They have an outdoor kitchen area and a good drying room. Bathrooms and showers were great, though the hot water is limited at busy times. Excellent Wifi even in my tent.

We booked three rooms, for families with children, in the morning we left the rooms before 9:30 (very early check-out time) and left neat and clean rooms. We made ourselves breakfast and the person in charge told us that we should also leave the lobby and the dining room. I have not encountered such a situation where the guests are evicted from the premises at check-out and are not allowed to use the toilets or the kitchen the second their stay at the hostel is over. Of course we cleaned the dishes and the table we ate on and left, the whole thing was half an hour, I felt it was a puzzling decision to kick us out of the kitchen and lacking patience or sensitivity. Not recommend at all.

Stopped over here for one night before starting the 3 peaks challenge.
It's a great location, not too far away from Ben Nevis.
It's a great price, so don't expect the Ritz. Rooms are cozy and do get warm when we have good weather, but it's just a place to rest your head so it doesn't matter.
Good size kitchen and communal area.
Both our rooms were en suite as well with a good pressure shower and warm water which is all we really care about isn't it :)
Used back in 2017 and would for sure use again if in the area.

Liked: Great little spot, we accidentally did not book a night at the campsite we had planned to stay at. It was busy bank holiday and everywhere was booked up. We bought a little 2 man tent and stayed at the site. It was busy but as most where walking the west highland way people where asleep early so it was quite. Grounds well kept. Wouldn’t be first choice unless I was doing the west highland way or was in need of somewhere like this time but it was pleasant.

Disliked: Seating area can be crowded at times and there’s not too many showers. The area isn’t the prettiest but it’s clean

This was our last night on the WHW. Situated right on the route it's a perfect stopping point after the knee pounding descent down the hill to Kinlochleven. Clean shower/toilet block facilities. The tent pitches are flat and well maintained. Good outdoor washing facilities and drying room available. Staff were friendly and helpful. In easy walking distance of the village shop and pubs for food.

campsite and hostel located directly on the west highland way. Kinlochleven has a supermarket (co-op) so make sure to get some food there if you need to. The campsite is very big and the ground is good for camping though we had an incredible amount of ticks in our tent so really make sure to check on that. Showers and toilets (women) were very clean and the showers were very spacious and hot. The men’s toilets and showers were a little dirty but nothing out of the ordinary. Concerning the other facilities: the campsite has a drying room, for towels, clothes etc. a fully supplied pot washing place, a water cooker and electric outputs to charge your devices. Also very Handy: a vending machine with some camping necessities (e.g smidge, head nets, first aid supplies, tick removal kit, snacks & drinks). Staff was friendly, so I’d definitely pitch my tent here again. If you stay a day in Kinlochleven make sure to check out the grey mare‘s waterfall.

Liked: Location is great for traveling the west highland way it is directly on route and is close to a very nice pub!

The campsite is clean and has all the facilities you need.

I have stayed here twice and I love it
