Looks like place is still under development and it was closed when we went there. Explored the farm area opposite to old hamlet which makes its worth visiting. Beautiful greenery around, with banana trees, date palms, lime, mangoes and many other. Perfect outdoor place in summer, where you beat the heat.Nice place for short family outing, washrooms are available and mosque for prayer.Near by places to explore are Nahva enclave, archeological mountain site and small trail. If you love off roads, you can go from shees wadi or else from Madha. Enjoy your visit and follow the rules in farm and avoid picking or plucking fruits.

A piece of green haven in between mountains. We've taken the off roads of wadi Shees towards Al Nahwa Cave and then leaving the cave behind we were heading to Madha Town, we've reached this place just after 4/5 minutes of driving from the cave. Infact from this Old Hamlet the road is perfet till Madha, Oman and beyond I mean Fujaira. Now this area seems to have a fresh touch of urbanization with a small park, rest area and garden which is really undoubtedly refresh you as a traveller specially after a off-road drive. There is a small mosque, rest room, seating area along with a few parking spots and above all mind blowing green area with a hanging garden. The area is still under development and promising to have a heritage look of old Sharjah.

Must visit this place! It's an archeological site. The Old masjid there tells you the facilities those old people had and how they preserved the places of worship. Also you can see the archeological towers near to this Hamlet.

The Lake Crossing bridge opened in May 2006. The crossing won a special award from the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2008.

Beautiful bridge with wonderful views

The beauty of this bridge is unredeemably marred by the actions of the people who funded it - the Sackler family. Read The Empire of Pain by Patrick Radden Keefe for more information.

What a stunning bridge/walkway, the metal slats allow you to see through to the water and after admiring them at first you hardly notice they are there and then you seem them again like wave making its way across the pond. Brilliant and effective idea.

Curved, not crooked! The Sackler Crossing is designed by Buro Happold and John Pawson and opened in May 2006. The bridge, the first since the creation of the lake in 1856, is named after philanthropists Dr Mortimer and Theresa Sackler. The minimalist-styled bridge is designed as a sweeping double curve of black granite with bronze posts at the sides. So curve your way across the lake and admire the views.

Quite a cool design bridge and there are lots of giant koi fish in the water!

A well built wide bridge, it's perfectly flat so overall is fantastic for accessibility - can easily fit multiple passing groups, wheelchairs, and pushchairs. Location is amazing can see the wildlife of the lake without disturbing them, and also has nice views of the trees and other foliage. Bridge is easy to access and isn't just a plain style either, it has it's own character from other bridges.
