Nice tidy pub with good mixture of ages and cultures. Friendly people well worth a beer or 3 good friendly staff

Started drinks there and ended drinks there , great social bar, staff are always amazing and a laugh and always accompanied by great lagers, ales , spirits or whatever else takes your fancy ???? come on and try yourself

Took a visiting friend for a drink here. We go quite often. Lovely atmosphere, busy on weekends a lot quieter in the early week. It is nice to visit the oldest pub in Newport and see it doing well.

Pleasant place for a pint. Some interesting artwork on the walls and a very friendly Jack Sparrow lookalike character at the beer engines. Great service and I was shocked at how very reasonable the prices were.

Great service, the best and friendliest bar staff and all around friendly pub, never had a problem with either the bar staff or the customers, will 100% recommend this place to anyone who either wants a quiet pint or wants to go out and meet some interesting people

Pub was ok..staff seemed friendly but when I went to the ladies loo I was confronted by a hideous smell and sight! No toilet gets that dirty...that's been like it for weeks. Time to sack your cleaners and hire someone who can actually do the job!
