We popped into the Lochgilphead fish shop yesterday, on the last day of our hols. Wish we'd been in the first day! We are ridiculously picky about fish, but even our wilfully excellent standards were surpassed. The scallops were by far the freshest and sweetest I've ever had the pleasure of cooking and eating. And the haddock made us the most incredible fish supper of the summer. Truly stunning flavours and so, so fresh. Thank you!

We been buying the hot smoked salmon for years mainly at Christmas occasionally at Easter time too. Its delicious wouldn't buy it anywhere else. Superb

Love this fish shop. We shopped here during a week's stay in the area. Their home made salmon fish cakes are amazing. We also tried a fish pie, samphire, smoked salmon and smoked mussels. They have a fantastic selection of fresh fish too. Will definitely shop here again when I'm back in the area 10/10

The smoked salmon ‘trimmings’ are by far some of the nicest smoked salmon I’ve ever had, and phenomenal value too! Great for a smoked salmon pasta.
Also had some of their peppered smoked mackerel which was great in a Pate.
Fresh fish selection also looked great. Would recommend!

Absolutely fantastic!!! The freshest fish I have ever eaten. Wide range of products which tastes exclusive. Visited this plaxe almost every day during our stay in area.
Very good price too!!

Always a lovely fresh selection of fish, haddock is beautiful, rarely get a bone, I visit every week to buy fish. Staff always very friendly and chatty.
