Yesterday (15.04.2023), I had ordered Ifthar kit for my staff. The pack was of good quality and quantity; my staffs are very happy with the food. Best thing is, food was served hot and fresh at a very nominal cost. I suggest this hotel for such orders.

I had chosen the hotel, because I had dined in there few occasions with my friends and the food quality is found good.

Fantastic museum and Art gallery giving a rounded history of the border and the city. Collection includes Roman all the way to the modern era, by way of the Reivers. Some of the art works are really good and the Roman display strives to interpret the objects rather than just display.

Whilst in Carlisle for the day, we decided to visit here as it was one the top 10 places to see on Tripadvisor.

We were shocked to see how big this place is, it was never ending! We spent a good few hours in here, & definitely could of spent more. There is something for every age, with history from many different years.

I am giving Tullie 3/5 because although the things inside are amazing, it is £30 for 2 people, which is out of budget for most low income people. I think they should offer a discount for students, people on benefits or low income, because the educational things inside the museam are actually of more value to the working class than to rich people who already will have seen those things many times. That's just my own opinion about the price. You can keep that ticket for 1 year so if you live there it isnt a bad deal. The museam part is very interactive, you can try stuff on, do activities, touch things etc. The gallery part had amazing art, but it was borrowed from another gallery that has free entry, so again, wasn't happy about the cost.

A fantastic and informative museum and perfectly placed across from Carlisle's historic castle.

Had a lovely time here, lovely galleries on King Arthur Pendragon, the Romans, women's costume clothing and art.

Gluten free food offerings in the cafe, so plenty for everyone on site.

Nice gift shop with gifts at prices to suit all budgets.

Wonderful building and gardens. We visited the Pre-raphaelites/King Arthur exhibition and it was amazing. The pieces displayed were excellent and everybody was super open to helpin us, in particular, Sarah, who was so kind as to explain some of the pieces to us. Other staff members whose names I didn't catch (who were there on Saturday 29th in the morning) also explained how to play some of the medieval games available (plenty of stuff for kids to do!) and shared some information about the museum and Carlisle. The rest of the museum was also nice, but the temporary exhibition was the highlight for sure.

Interesting displays, the year round pass is a great bonus as we don't live far away so can go again when different collections are on.
Would have liked a video screens to tell a story and set the scene before walking around the objects, nicely laid out, I love to read about history and artefacts but having a scene-setter just makes it more of a story of how they lived (roman part).

The exhibits were nice, especially the Viking section which not only showed the original artefacts, but also recreations of how they may have looked when they were new. It was however extortionately priced at £15 per person even though the gallery was closed! They try to justify this by saying the ticket is valid for a year, but like most people, I was just visiting, so that's of no use to me. In my opinion, museums should be free and allow people to donate what they can afford. People on lower incomes should not be priced out of educational places like museums.
