Drumming Up 30/31 July 2022
An outstanding event. Well orchestrated from beginning to end. For the participants it was a case of turn up and follow commands; walk, talk, eat, be entertained; sleep; eat and walk/talk again. However the organisers deserve medals for combining logistics; sustanance, entertainment, great location with timeless precision and adaptability to weather and numbers attending. Being ex military myself I believe they performed the event like an excellent military operation. A huge thank you to name but a few goes to Mark, Sarah, Claire, Fiona, Barrie, Jonathan and Julie.
Look forward to the next one.

Completed the full 44 mile overnight guided hike. A mighty challenge but rewarding. Beautiful scenery enjoyed in great company. A must for any hiker / walker who is up for the challenge.

This route is brilliant. It's easy to navigate, you get to visit some picturesque villages and take in some of the best parts of the Wolds.

I love the story behind the route and the route map that's available to download brings that to life.

The people behind the route have passion for bringing together the local community and for actively encouraging walking. This has been demonstrated by multiple successful events in the first year.

This route is perfect for running too and we at Ultra Trails were very privileged to hold the first ever ultra marathon on the route in April 2022. The people behind the Wold Rangers Way charity were very supportive.

I'm sure the Wold Rangers Way will attract even more visitors to East Riding of Yorkshire and people will get to discover how incredibly beautiful the area is.

A lovely walk, really well organised and great people. We had a fantastic morning and also learnt about the people who lived and walked those paths. Fascinating.

Just attended Drumming up with the Wold Rangers and it was such a brilliant evening. Great walk, lovely setting, gorgeous food and entertainment. So well organised and everyone so welcoming. Only moved to Driffield the day before but looking forward to more events with the Wold Rangers and trying the different walks. Thank you all involved

Wolds Rangers Way first ‘drumming up’. What a great Walk, camp, evening entertainment and walk back home. The whole event was well organized and very entertaining. Many thanks to the whole Rangers team for putting this event together. Looking forward to the next one.

Drumming up,Very well organised event. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute from the scenic walk, the beauty of the wildflowers at the campsite,the rusticus actors who were superb in their story telling.the trio of muscians with their live foot tapping music.the food provided was plentiful and the camp fire ???? was a delight as darkness descended. We would love to do it again. Thank you to everyone that made this a most happy,memorable time ????????

[Geowalk at Fridaythorpe] An excellent walk with very pleasant weather and we saw the Wolds at their best! Richard Myerscough's interesting commentary was ideally tailored to his audience, neither too abstruse nor too superficial: I think we all felt we had learned a great deal about the Wolds, their geology, archaeology, culture and history, things that will enhance our future rambles in the area. A big thank you to Richard [and to all those involved in the organisation] for a really memorable day. Yours time and effort are much appreciated!!
