Porotta is typical kerala type flaky layered and beef fry was little salty ( may be they got wrong that particular day)
Overall rating:

I went here last weekend to try their very famous kappa and malaku udachath. I was super impressed with the taste of the mulaku uduchath. Since it was very spicy I had lemon juice (5/5). Apart from that, I have also tried dosa and beef(4/5). Staffs are friendly as well.

Nice little detour off the Derwent walk up to ruins of hollinside manor.

Well hidden from walkers, it does have it's own small pathway up to it. Well worth the walk up though & great for photograghers. Admire the ruins, then sit on the bench and enjoy the views, keeping a look out for the stunning Red Kites...

You can live locally and never know this place exists. Short detour from the rail line up a fab boardwalk over some marsh the kids will like, a few steps in the trees and behold the derelict manor house. Pretty secluded.nice picnic stop. I get the impression some evening s the yoof come here beer cans etc but it doesn't detract too much. Rejoin the path by following the route behind the manor alongside a farm.

A great place to go on the walk, it makes for some wonderful views in the afternoon when the sun's sets over the field views and of course the manor it's self is a serenic view. Hey, if you're lucky you may even get decently up close with a roe deer.

The remains is a 13th Century manor house. Been visiting the area for years. Great place for a walk. Access via the Derwent Walk which was originally the rail track taking coal from Consett to the ships in the Tyne. Great for cycling. Also near Derwent Country Park which was a coke works before being turned into a beautiful park.

Out for a walk yesterday to Holllinside manner, nice place to visit, the path up to it from the Derwent walk is a bit steep and quite muddy at this time of year but still worth a visit.

Interesting Manor house ruins, we only came here to see what it was like as could see it from our window over at Fellside Park. There's no flat way to get there, but it's not too much of a walk from either the Derwent or Clockburn Lonnen from Whickham. There's a few steps and steep drops to the side.

What a lovely discovery, we were on a walk and our daughter seen a path leading off up the hill so off we went and what a good choice it was.
