Fossil rock is a great place to experience the sunset or sunrise depending on what part of the day works for you. Gets a little crowded on weekends with all the adrenaline junkies but still a great place to visit.

This wee coffee shop / eatery is a must visit. Fabulous place. Located on the high street in Aviemore it offers both sit in and take away. Privately owned. Lots of different produce here from sandwiches, baked potatoes, quiches, home made soup, cakes and tremendous coffee! You can buy cheeses, wine, beer, gin, a variety of jams, crackers, oatcakes, pate and so forth. All quality items and reasonably priced too. The service is friendly and efficient. An outdoor area is here too - weather permitting! The whole set up is a refreshing change from the chain coffee shops. Please do support it and pay them a visit????

This has been recently taken over by a new family. All of the original signs were still up from the previous owners and it didn't match the menu. I'm hoping it was their first day of opening because none of the staff knew what they were doing. The coffee was decent but we ordered soup (vegetable or chicken was the choice) and it was straight from a tin of Heinz. The soup arrived after the paninis and burgers which means that one of the staff had to run out to get a few different tins. It was advertised as 'Soup of the day'. Two tables walked out whilst we were there because they couldn't get their orders correct and it was taking forever to get served. I would avoid this place if you fancy some food in the area.

Absolute fantastic little gem of a place. The coffee is the best in Aviemore, and we find it is super important to support local business! Quite often in for lunch which has more to offer than most boring places (hot and col food). You can also take away which is brilliant if you want quality on the move. Keep up the fantastic work guys!

Stopped in for some lunch with my husband and daughter. Had to use the baby changing facilities, it was a small area outside the toilet with no light. The main issue is that there is a camera pointing directly at the area, which I didn’t notice until after changing my daughter…totally unacceptable! My husband approached the gentleman, who I assume is the owner, to ask about this and he seemed uninterested and dismissed him with some lame excuse. Will be notifying the authorities.

Best breakfast we've had in Scotland so far. Good coffee, croissants, carrot cake and porridge with a lovely view and atmosphere.

Lovely hidden gem- lots of pies, sandwiches, cakes that you should absolutely stock up on before going on your walk! Shop also has vinegars, oils, spreads etc.

New owners are struggling. Service was poor and food was low quality.
