Took my 16 year old son along on Wednesday for his Mile High Flight experience. What a fabulous bunch of enthusiastic people this club is run by ????. Simon his instructor was excellent and the rest of the men who were there were friendly and informative. My son got to try his hand at flying the glider in beautiful clear skies and he loved it. We'll be back for my daughter's turn next and then mine ????. I can see why this could become an addictive hobby!

Booked experience online, easy enough, arrived on site everyone very friendly, talked about all the equipment and safety. My flight instructor was very good, Barry went through all the aspects of the glider then set me up, as I am tall it was a little cramped but comfortable enough. Took a winched flight for about an hour, had great weather and wonderful views, took control of the glider a couple of times which was fun. Well worth the price.

Really enjoyed my flight, great experience.
I was met at the club house and really looked after. Would recommend to anybody...thanks guys????

I wanted to organise a trial flight for my partner's 40th birthday at the end of January. Club secretary Wayne was very helpful in explaining that it was not the best time of year for gliding but we could try! On the day, the weather was favourable and we headed down to the airfield with our fingers crossed. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, and kindly made space in the schedule for my partner to have a flight soon after we arrived. She loved it! Special thanks to Dave for bringing her back down to ground safely so that I could propose to her that evening :-)

I was bought a full day gliding experience and 18 months later still not been able to book it due to being “too heavy” I’m 16st and 6’3”
Also their gliders are broken or away for repair, despite making contact several times and lots of empty promises I’m severely disappointed that I’ve not been able to use a Xmas present and very disappointed.

Visited this place yesterday and have to echo the other one star review. Tried to speak to someone and was asked to wait a moment. 20 minutes later I’m still stood 10ft from the chap I was trying to talk to and was totally ignored. In the end I got bored and left.

Clearly not a friendly place and if you’re looking for a club I’d personally try elsewhere because this place is the epitome of arrogance and rudeness.

Great bunch here, good laugh. Husband had a gift glider experience which he said was amazing. Will definitely be doing it again. Certainly recommend ????
