I am disappointed to see the Barton car park reviewed as a free car park. People who contribute to the footfall which makes the paths muddy and are happy to use the car park, dog waste bins, etc. do so expecting the private landowner and HoEF supporters to pay their share. Is £1 in the donations box too much to ask if you use use these wonderful footpaths and facilities?

A good size car park. No parking meter but there is a donation post as you drive in to the car park. Very good walking. As long or short as you want.

In an area prone to flooding, so need to plan carefully with good info at this time of year. Keep your eyes peeled as entrance sign is small, though attractive!

This car park had planning approval as a parking area for a limited number of vehicles related to the adjacent canal basin. The access statement was based on this. The road access visibility is not adequate for a general car park. Heart of England Forest have blatantly lied about this within planning applications and subsequent approvals.

Really nice area to walk, dog friendly and not difficult walking unless very wet. Can get quite muddy in areas.

Perfect for a lovely walk through the woods always plenty of spaces & an honesty box for parking with a very reasonable suggested fee
