It was okay, we had a deal but it was still expensive for what you get, rooms are tried and need some TLC, using room service was no easy so we went to the bar ourselves but took ages for someone to turn up. Food was okay, chicken dry and chips were very oily. But breakfast was much better, so much to choose from, I must admit the catering staff are great, Luke and the lady in the morning was brilliant! Spa treatments we had, 2 of us went in late and came out first, so we didn’t get the full treatment, it was a nice treatment but the rooms smelt really bad like if someone just had a broccoli and cheese soup, very strong smelling. I would return if things improve. I emailed them but didn’t hear much of a response, just a sorry from the manager. We paid close to £600 for our stay so probably won’t be coming again.

Such a shame. This was a birthday treat from my husband. The massage was lovely but the rest was a huge disappointment. My husband picked the package of treatment and lunch. After my massage I was charged, even though my husband already had paid. I was taken down for lunch and told someone would be with me, I waited 40 minutes and reception said I had to go to the bar for service. Another two woman had the same experience of being left to sit and wait. We were in the designated spa bar area yet no one checked in on us. The lunch was mediocre at best. Used the facilities which were okay. Such a shame as the massage itself was excellent. The staff in reception and the bar didn't really seem to care.

Nice hotel with plenty of amenities. It’s on the pricey side. It’s dog friendly but there is no dog park and you aren’t allowed to leave the dogs alone in the room at all. The restaurant menu is interesting although they served a medium steak well done but they did redo the steak and also give me a 10% discount. There was a wedding party which spilled into the bar in the evening so it wasn’t relaxing and also the wedding party made a lot of noise at breakfast just standing around in the restaurant.

We took a package for overnight stay with spa experience. Overall we had wonderful time. They have free customer car park, checked in quickly at reception, bar and lounge has good food and drink options. Well equipped gym, swimming, sauna, steam and spa treatments. All facilities inclduing room are clean and very well maintained. Restaurant is bit expensive with very limited options but good quality food. And best part staff is customer friendly, always happy to help with a smile.

Nice hotel, but let down by an over-complicated booking system and some bizarre service decisions. On a weekend when there was a wedding and another function going on, cleaning the beer pump lines for an hour at Saturday lunchtime was just bizarre. Then, for a manager to commandeer a barman and a till for some admin work when there was a queue of customers was bordering on rude. The hotel overall is generally of a good standard, but is looking a bit shabby in places. The food in the restaurant and for breakfast is nice, but the fish for the wedding dinner was rubbery after being kept warm for too long.

Even ensconced for 2 days at the hotel for a murder mystery weekend. The hotel was ideal - very pleasant surroundings; excellent service from the staff. The food was plenteous and generally good, efficiently served. I’d happily return

Big and cleaned rooms on a daily basis. Although some of the wallpaper definitely need re-doing, the service was good. We had a decent breakfast included in our booking and they were able to do their best and decorate the room, really nice of them.
Quick and easy drives to the surrounding areas too!

The place was wonderful, stayed there last weekend with my family and had a great time. The breakfast was delicious and had a lovely selection. Felt very rejuvenated after the stay using the amenities as well as the location being beautiful feeling very relaxed and fresh.
The rooms were spotless and the staff was very friendly. Overall, was a delightful stay.
