Extremely Disappointing Service from Sharjah Municipality Sewerage Department:
I am utterly disappointed with the Sewerage Department in Sharjah due to an incredibly frustrating experience I recently encountered. On Monday, 24th July 3023, I visited their office, office no-4, to submit a crucial application seeking approval for the D-trap box in my Laundry shop. What should have been a straightforward process turned into a grueling ordeal.
I spent over three hours just to submit the application, as I had to endure significant delays and miscommunication from the staff. Despite being informed that someone from the department would contact me for a site visit, there has been no communication to date, which is today, 26th July 2023. As a business owner, every minute is invaluable, and the extensive wait and lack of response have caused me financial losses and immense mental distress.
Seeking a resolution, I revisited the sewerage department this morning. To my shock, my application seemed to be misplaced, and nobody within the department was aware of its status. Fortunately, with the assistance of Mr. Abdul Rehman, an officer who demonstrated some willingness to help, my application was eventually located at the information counter, unattended and forgotten.
The negligence and inefficiency displayed by the Sewerage Department have severely affected my business operations, leading to wasted time, missed opportunities, and unnecessary stress. It is entirely unacceptable that such a vital process was handled so poorly.
I strongly implore the concerned authorities to take immediate and strict action against those responsible for this gross misconduct and inefficiency. A thorough investigation into this matter and a clear explanation of the lapses that led to such unprofessional handling of my application are essential.
I urgently request updates on the actions taken to rectify this situation and ensure that such incidents do not reoccur in the future. The Sewerage Department must respond positively to my complaint and commit to improving their services, treating all citizens, residents, and business owners with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
I expect a swift resolution and a written acknowledgment of this complaint. The Sewerage Department needs to understand the impact of their actions on businesses and individuals and take concrete steps to prevent such frustrating experiences in the future.
