We had all of the specials, starters and mains, and cannot fault one bit of it. Perfectly cooked amd absolutely delicious seafood. Already cannot wait to come back!

Stunning seafood restaurant on the shores of Loch Fyne. Moules to start which were cooked to perfection and served in an incredible liquor, then whole lobster with fries.

I took my wife and son to Samphire for lunch today as a birthday treat for my wife. The food was absolutely fantastic, so fresh, and simply prepared, the food does the talking, especially the seafood platter. The chicken and duck liver pâté was the best I have ever tasted. The staff are really lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. A fantastic restaurant for a real treat. I would recommend booking ahead for lunch and this is absolutely essential for the evenings. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

We had an excellent meal here. Although it looks austere from the outside, it's a delightful little restaurant, and the service was excellent, particularly for a "lobster virgin" - very helpful and friendly. Freshly caught seafood is never the cheapest way of eating, anywhere, but it was delicious.

A small restaurant in Inveraray, Samphire is outstanding. The ingredients are local, incredibly fresh, and very high-quality. Seafood fans especially will love the menu. The food was beautifully prepared, and the wine list was surprisingly good.

As a repeat visitor (once per year!), this seafood restaurant never disappoints. At the time of our visit they seemed short staffed but between the chef and the one waitress the service and food was 5 stars. The seafood platter was served warm, with everything prepared so it was all easier to eat. Everything was fresh and they seem to get the pick of the catch with nice big mussels and scallops etc. The lemon sole goujons had a great light batter, the fish was fresh and served piping hot.

Samphire is on a higher level compared to other nearby seafood restaurants.

A wonderful experience. The waiting staff were so lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. The restaurant was small but the hearts of all was large.
We had the taste of the loch. It was good, not perfect…mainly down to the sauce. Another indulgence was the 800g pot of mussels. Top quality and the sauce was sublime. I even used the sauce for my platter!!
The price was every bit worth it, £90 for the platter, pot of mussels, bread and butter, fries and two drinks!! Thank you staff, this was an absolute joy.

Amazing! Had the pleasure of stopping at Samphire while visiting Loch Lomond. The chef prepared fresh fish batter for us on short notice due to diet requirements. The fish was perfect and crispy, simply amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
