I’ve heard a lot about NE, they generally have a good reputation. It was let down in my experience as I experienced to counts of ‘attitude’ towards me from Staff. I had waited for the 00.35 at Darlington town Centre. It arrived on time, great I hear you say. However the Driver, after letting his first customers on then got back on the Coach. When I asked him if the Coach went to Victoria Station. He scoffed at me “What did I just say? is there ANYBODY else?” To which I replied :

“Well I didn’t hear you hence why I asked the question..” .

“Oh, oh right okay...” then he piped down after. The journey itself went smoothly, but as it was early morning I would’ve not expected too much traffic tbh.

Then when I got to Victoria and off the coach I was unsure where to go initially as had not been in Victoria Coach Station for a before . A large man with a Northern accent for the The purpose of this review we will call the ‘ Fat Controller’ was coming in my direction simply barks out

“You’ve got go THAT way..”

No Sorry, please, or thank you in that AT ALL you might’ve observed??? I didn’t say anything to him and continued walking in the direction he told me to which initially I still had no idea where I was, but fortunately there was a street map near by which saved my boots.

Now that’s two incidents with two members of Staff from the SAME company. Well in my book ?

This was the first time I have used National Express for a good long while, I shall now think very carefully should I wish to use them again. The only saving grace was the journey itself went relatively smoothly hence the three stars Otherwise I would have only awarded it two! :/
