Absolutely stunning. Food, staff, location and setting is beautiful. Prices very reasonable too considering the surroundings your sat in. Highly recommended.

Only stayed for one night, but had a lovely room, great size. Dined in the bar area for dinner and restaurant for breakfast. Fantastic food and service. Very good value for money. Very friendly staff. Although we didn't use it, the wedding venue in the old chapel looked stunning .

Great experience all round!!

Very nearly the perfect hotel. Everything was of high quality, great atmosphere, superb room, friendly, helpful and happy staff. Supreme breakfast with great service. Incredible building with plenty of history. We stopped here as part of a walking holiday so the the location was ideal for walking into and around Whitby.
In fact, I really have to ‘nit pick’ to fine a negative - no shelf in the shower.

Sneaton Castle had us from the first glance. Amazing landscapes, it conjures a sense of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur. The well-preserved interiors exude a sense of bygone royalty and splendor, while the verdant grounds and gardens are an oasis of serenity. The castle offers a perfect blend of heritage and tranquillity, making it a real gem. The food was also incredible. Sneaton Castle is magnificence.

Beyond expectations
Amazing staff hello Daniel and the team thank you all for looking after us so splendidly.

Sneaton Castle is an amazing place to go for a meal. The surroundings are fantastic, the staff are all so friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. We had a proper Sunday roast today with all the trimmings. There was a good choice of meats and a decent veggie option. They were also able to accommodate my coeliac friend with gluten free yorkies and gravy and gave her extra veg as she couldn’t eat the cauliflower cheese. We were very impressed with the staff as they were both knowledgeable and friendly. Vicky was particularly good, taking the time to check allergies etc.. Bailey was a little sweetie too. Desserts were scrummy and the pimms went down a treat.
Don’t forget to visit the ladies before you leave, very unique.

We got married at Sneaton castle on 16th June 2023, the day couldn’t have been any better it was absolutely amazing.
The wedding team were always on hand on the lead up and were accommodating with all our requests. They set up our decorations perfectly and everything was just as we had hoped for.

All our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, they commented how stunning the venue was, how tasty the food tasted and we currently have top ranking amongst them of “the best wedding ever” ????

Again we can’t thank all the team enough and we look forward to returning in the future❤️

Wonderful ..Originally The Convent of The Holy Order of the Paraclete...actually the nuns are still here in a separate building ...Its a Castle, ex Convent and Church with very comfortable rooms originally the sisters rooms in the Convent but comfortably renovated..A nice bar and restaurant not the cheapest but very comfortable in quiet peaceful surroundings a very good option if you are coming to Whitby and want something different....
