Loved this little place full of history. We had a lovely lunch and was welcomed by the friendly staff. Would highly recommend a visit.

We only went in King John’s garden. The garden is beautiful. Lovely example of a traditional English country garden. Lovely grapevines, pear trees growing up the walls. Little places to sit down and relax in the garden. A great bee hotel.

When in for brunch with a friend to Mrs Moody's tea room, her daughter and granddaughter. We were mostly ignored while the granddaughter got all the attention ☺️. They very kindly moved furniture around to accommodate the buggy. We were very slow to order, as we didn't stop talking, but they didn't rush us to order. We could not fault the service and the surroundings are beautiful, a trip in spring or summer is definitely needed when the garden is in bloom. They have some lovely sitting area's outside. The actual house is well worth a visit as well

A lovely small house, dating from the period shortly after King John's work. There is a nice garden, with a cafe. Inside, they had a bit of an art exhibit upstairs, whilst downstairs had some details about the building.

Beautiful place to spend the afternoon. Beautiful garden, wonderful tea room and interesting museum! The people that work here are all so nice and helpful and the atmosphere is so relaxing, a real little oasis.

Beautiful little bit of history with a pretty little garden and tearoom attached. Overall Romsey is a really nice little town with an abundance of cafes and shops and a gorgeous Abbey.

Great tea room, quintessentially English atmosphere and menu. Service good and a lively sunny garden for warmer days. Also an in house art exhibition. Worth a detour if in Romsey

A little known jewel in the heart of Romsey.
This wonderful living museum, teashop, garden is tucked around the back of the central Romsey opposite the Abbey. Once discovered never forgotten, the gardens are beautiful with all tear round something to see. The teashop is so pretty with indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff and a good range of food and drink. The museum itself gives a good history of Romsey and the King John building and area. If you go on certain days you can see costumed people showing what the King John House and gardens would have been like from various points in history.
If you have never been it us really worth a visit.
