First opened in 1914, the HPPH is the last surviving gaslit cinema in the world.
The refurbishment includes a brand new extension to the original building to house a café/bar on two levels and a disabled lift, fully restored interior (the new seats are much better), and a 50-seat second screen.
The main auditorium is a wonderful space to enjoy the new varied film programme; there's even a balcony, for the complete nostalgic cinema experience.
It's well worth a visit!

They run many very cool, different and interesting films from around the world, and the food/drink is very reasonably priced compared to big commercial cinemas.
Well worth a visit, I'll be returning, soon.
