It's quite difficult to imagine there were a castle thousand years ago.

Well preserved ruins of almost 1000-year old castle, it is very good but we couldn't enter lower part of the castle because it was closed.

This castle was built after the Norman conquest of 1066. It gradually fell into disrepair and was rebuilt in the ealry 1800's, but demolished 10 years later.
