The Retriever is an English country pub located on the road Nine Mile Ride in Bracknell. The pub itself is well presented with ample seating inside and out with a closed marquee to the side of the pub. Staff and polite and friendly with the normal lagers on tap. The interior is spacious and relaxing with a nice vibe. The food is okay with a fairly good selection on the week day and Sunday menus. This pub is dog friendly and you’ll find quite a few people bring their four legged friends. Note this place gets very busy so it is best to book a table at least a couple weeks in advance.

We went for lunch on bank holiday Monday. We booked online in the morning, and glad we did as it was busy. Service was a bit slow but this was possibly because we were behind a wall and not in sight of bar/kitchen area.
It had a nice family friendly feel. Food was good, especially the desserts ☺️

Came here for a Birthday Dinner last week and had a great experience.

The menu was great, a good selection of Meals and Roasts (as it was a Sunday) and despite it being a Sunday evening everything was still available. The food was well presented and fresh I couldn't fault it.

Service was great slightly slow but that's if I had to nit-pick something of the evening it would be that.

The drinks and food are fairly priced and portions are great too.

The atmosphere is very homely pub and the tables are nicely spaced so you're not sat on top of each other.

I would definitely return for another meal here.

The best pub locally, superb food amazingly delicious and fresh ingredients. Staff are super friendly and have the know how especial thanks to Mark who made sure our time spent today absolutely enjoyed super friendly and professional. Food is amazing ???? we enjoyed every bite. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back.
Great choices and Menu is well assorted. Keep up the good work guys.

Staff were fantastic. Abbey was our waitress and she couldn't have been more friendly or more helpful. I'm always nervous dining with young kids and she made them feel really welcome which totally put me at ease.

Food was served in good time and quality was excellent.

Would come back regularly if we lived closer!

As always good quality food and great friendly service made a very pleasant evening. A good step up from the run of the mill.

Really lovely pub.

Lots of outdoor seating but it started to rain whilst we were there so sat indoors. Large portion of indoor seating was table service, which I didn’t expect. We managed to sit in the bar area so was bar service.

Food came within 15-20 minutes of ordering. They forgot the fries we’d ordered but rectified that by giving us an extra portion, so no complaints here.

Lovely place with great food! Their staff are just wonderful. Had the most amazing dessert. 100% recommend.
