Delicious carbonara pasta and creamy leek soup. Portions are actually generous and filling, which is refreshing for a restaurant of this type. The prices are just.

Amazing talented young pianist that take requests.

Spent the evening there relaxing. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent restaurant. I liked everything very much. Since ancient times, I can know this place and say that, as before, everything is wonderfully simple: the interior, the kitchen, the atmosphere, and the waiters.
A unique distressed assortment of dry red wines.

If you stay at their accommodation, Factors Inn, you can't go there for dinner or breakfast. Not the right class of guest I guess.

Tried the Seasgair Dining experience as a large party for a very special birthday. Location and food did not disappoint, with a superb tasting menu that catered to our admittedly-annoyingly-varied dietary needs in a truly special setting. A star lost due to the service, which was pretty poor considering the price of the experience (although it's worth noting that there is no mandatory service charge and of course we still tipped.) Despite calling twice to confirm the necessaries (and writing it down mid-meal for clarification) staff could not get their heads around who could eat what & more than one member of the party was forgotten & left without a plate until others had finished. More a suggestion for improvement than a reason not to go, we recognise that large groups can be hard to cater!

Excellent food quality, presentation, and experience. Attentive service, great views, and an expert wine pairing. The Champagne and canapes with the pianist were a wonderful surprise.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my life!

The food is amazing, the views are spectacular and the service was top notch.

The quality of the food fell short of the standards that I had expected of the Roux family of restaurants. The West Crab starter - this was served in the shell on a bed of what seemed like Blue-dyed salt which I guess was to mimic the sea. The presentation of the dish itself was good however, the crab meat itself was bland. It did not taste fresh. Worst of all, the dressed crab was also bulked up with shredded lettuce(?!). It might have been better tucking it into sandwich fingers for afternoon tea alongside the tuna and sweetcorn. For mains we had the chateaubriand. If it weren’t for an offensive cinnamon spiced turnip on the plate, it would have been great. However, the vegetable hardly tasted of anything having been overcooked until the vegetable itself lost all its identity in flavour and then seasoned with spices that best belonged in a dessert rather than this dish. The Madeira sauce didn’t add or detract from the dish so was just as useful as the turnip. Finally, we ordered the chocolate mousse for dessert covered in matcha powder. The word “mousse” is misleading. The consistency was more like a paste rather than light and fluffy and it was lost underneath the heavy marzipan-like coating and caramelised banana. It was far too sweet and thick in texture. There was no trace of a matcha taste. The waiter also agreed it was more like banoffee pie and was still a work-in-progress. A slip of the tongue perhaps but at the prices the restaurant charges and the grandeur of the castle, you wouldn’t expect a work-in-progress to be served up to you. This is the reason why I give this 2/5. Such a shame. I won’t be going back.
